i adore this married couple, their partnership, and thank god laenor had a better ending in the show that he had on the book

I'm glad someone made a video for them. Not all love is passionate & romantic, but it can still be respectful and loyal. I adore their dynamic.
They entered into an open marriage. Obviously they're *loyal* to each other.

Emma Darcy won my heart forever with that delivery.
The fact that they trust and care for each other is such a breath of fresh air in shows like these. I mean, he spent years loving their children despite not being biologically his and she helped him leave to be with his lover, it's a good friendship
They were also cousins, his mother was a Targaryen.
Probably one of the most healthy marriage in the ASOIAF universe, I’m really sad when he fakes his death and Rhaenyra remarries to Daemon since I love their interactions so much 😢
That basically makes all of Rhaenyra's kids bastards.

It was a beautiful friendship, full of trust. They looked after each other, helped each other, there was no pretense or resentment. They supported each other in their difficult situation.

They did care for eachother, not romantically but in a understanding of how similar they both were.
The man left behind his parents, children he loved, his royal life and inheritance as well as a freaking dragon to allow rhaenyra to live the life she wanted. That's devotion.

Thank you for this edit! ❤ I wish got to see more of Rhaenyra & Laenor married & raising their boys with Harwin. 🥺😭 They have one of the most healthiest & wholesome marriages in the ASOIAF universe up there with Ned/Cat. I love their unconditional love for one another. I wish they could have stayed married & had biological children together. It would have made things easier for them both if no one questioned the paternity of their sons. Those were Laenor’s sons as much as they were Harwin’s (if not more). He raised & loved those boys from birth. I’ll forever despise the Greens especially Otto, Cristin, Alicent & Harwin’s weasel of a brother.
i wouldnt say Ned and Cat had a healthy wholesome marriage. the man let his wife treat his nephew poorly and never told her the truth. Cat went back on her word of loving Jon after he got sick once. she treated him horribly and never once questioned Neds "honor" regarding him sleeping with someone else? i mean come on.
He was the one who proposed to fake his death. She says the Velaryons are of the sea and that the sea gave her an option
They were good friends. She is lucky.
But no seriously they have a wonderful platonic relationship and I'm sure they tried everything to produce a legitimate heir.
I wish things could have worked out for them. granted, there wouldn't be the conflict needed for the plotline but they were a sweet couple!
Even If there was No romantic love between them they did love eschother and did the best they could and respected easchother 🥺
