      I'm pretty sure you just add the prefixes to the k(ing) and m(ilk). Then go from there to the base I think. Correct me if I am wrong.

    I absolutely love this video. I was struggling for hours trying to remember all of these conversions. thankfully your video popped up just as I was done watching another one. My question to you would be, where does mcg fall in the line up? is it smaller than a mg?

      Thanks!! the microgram is one millionth of a gram so you would have to take grams and multilply it by 1 x 10^-6

    I am afraid there is mistake in conversion of 6,423 cm to km, cm to m shifts decimal comma by 2 positions to left, m to km by 3 more, so in total by 5 positions to left, that means 6,432 cm = 0,00006432 km (not 0,06432 km, this number would be correct for meters).

    If centimeters are larger than millimeters in question number two when you converted millimeters to centimeters how come it turned into an even smaller number? Wouldn’t you be going the opposite direction for that case?

    this really helps a lot! thank you! also, when converting weight from lbs to kg we divide by 2.2, how far do we carry it out and do we round up? like in a child weight and measuring a med?

Well depending on how accurate you want to get you can round off the number to a whole number, to the tenth place, to the 100th place, etc. Remember when rounding, look at the number to the right of the place value you are trying to round to. This saying should help, "Five or above, give it a shove, four or below let it go".

      +Michaela Kelly Hi, you have to look at the label of the number you are starting with, then find that starting point in the chart of prefixes. Read this explanation one more time and then watch the video again, or Part 2, and see if that makes sense. Let me know!
