That is a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
I’m 6 1/2 years sisterlocked, and I had several like that.
Im so glad I found this! Dont know how Ive missed it all this time. Going thru postpartum shedding so Ive got some work ahead of me to repair what is now thin.
I can't believe it took this long for me to land on this video. I'm 8 years in and have a few locks that needs repair and I just dont want to cut them. Thank you so much for this tip!!!!
Threading the hair through every few rotations is such a great idea.
Thanks so much for sharing how you thread the hair through the needle, loved it.
I am grateful for this information
thank you so much for this video!! you just saved like 4 of my locks from breaking!!
JOB WELL DONE! Definitely using this technique. Best one I've seen on TH-cam
Nice job. If I ever need to repair my locks, I will try this method. Thank you!
I found about 10 locs like this and I going to try this method. I have gotten several explanations as to why this happens to a loc.
For me it appeared to have a lot to do with diet and perhaps to much stress on the loc causing slippage.
Please consider doing a video on sisterlocks and damaged hairline. I believe you'll get lots of views. So many people struggle with this and then to see you on the other side of the journey is encouraging!
Congrats on getting certified! I wish I could find a consultant in Great Falls Montana.
So glad I found this! Thank you
That is such a smart idea thanks for sharing
Thanks for the tutorial!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can save my sister lock.
You just saved me from shaving my head. THANK YOU! i love your locs
wow thank you for this...this is brilliant I can finally save my locks
This is so helpful thank you.
I know what you mean about it being hard on the body. I'm a licensed Cosmetologist myself and use to do Mirco-braids on a regular basis. Between my hands, feet, ankles and back killing me at the end of service I almost gave it up. I still do one client now who has been with me for over 16 years. I've watched her get married and have two babies. Anyways, I may do a head here and there. But nothing like I use to. So YES they DESERVE THE MONEY! And a good tip to.
Awesome! Totally awesome!
Great job. Thank you
Thank you great tip!
Great stuff...thanks sis. Your hair looks nice
Thanks for the video, and you're gorgeous!
I wish I could do all of that to my hair nice 👍 job
You're so pretty! 😍😍
Could you please show a way to fix this without adding hair?
Thank you so much for sharing this video. Do you also use this method for reattaching locs?
Yes I do. Depending on hair texture I may have to change the hair to accommodate texture, but basically the same technique.
+Chastity Beltz thank you for reply. I ran to the hair store today because I wanted to try your technique.
+vonnie2300 Feel free to message me if you need help. Let me know how it goes.
Great tutorial. What is the color of your locks?
It is very taxing i did my daughters but it looks great two more installs to go
Awesome Video!
Your hair is gorgeous are your locks fully lock and do you moisturizer your hair every day , I find my self is that behemoth I moisturizer my hair I started to have slippage
Portia Mckinney Thank you so much! I actually almost never moisturize. I occasionally spritz with rose water but to avoid build up I don’t use conditioners or hair lotions. This video is 5 yrs old. I’ve been a loctician for a while now - my experience is that my clients that do not fuss with their hair that much, (i.e. moisturizing & deep conditioning), and actually only washing when necessary have hair that thrives versus my clients who do a lot of moisturizing and fussing with your hair.
Where do you get the kinky human hair? And what is the name of the needle you're using.
MrsSmicks, most beauty supplies that sell weave should carry or be able to order bulk Afro kinky human hair. The needle is a regular weaving needle used for sew-Ins.
Can you do an update on your hair please?
Newlite 7 I will this weekend. Life has been so crazy. I commit to refocusing on this channel. 😌
Can this be done to sisterlocks that arent mature? I've only been locked for 5 months.
Alex Terry At 5 months you shouldn’t be doing any repairs as the hair may have not even become a loc yet to even be repaired. You certainly don’t want to do this to an immature lock as it will hinder the process of locking and likely isn’t necessary.
Is there any way to repair the loc without adding in hair?
Yes. I can do it (repair without adding) on others but sometimes mess it up on myself. Lol
But yes, on my Sisterlock clients I follow Sisterlock protocol and do not add hair when repairing weak or damaged
What kind of hair did you use?
Afro kinky bulk. Or Marley twisting hair from the beausupply store works fine as well.
Whats Poppin you pretty cute. Do you like cute white guys ?
I just discovered Sisterlocs last night. I AM IN LOVE. I have never seen anything more beautiful on a black woman's head. Rock on Sister.
