Firmware updated! Gotta say I love a tasteful amount of Vintage (about 25-30) along with the ladder filter and a touch of resonance. Really pleasing, and right up my alley. The synth is even more usable for my music now, thanks!
Wow, I've been playing through the new presets and can only conclude that this update is truly huge. It's like some of the hidden potential is only now showing fully. Can't wait to spend some time making presets myself with these new features. Love some of those cheeky preset names, by the way. If I could make one suggestion it would be for a way to try out all these great presets from different firmware versions (and artist sounds banks) in the app without having to load them to the device first. This would make it a lot less time consuming to make a personalised selection out of all these great presets. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to fixing issues and especially adding new functionality and features. My Argon8X is one of the best instrument purchases I've made and I enjoy it so much. Beautiful synth!

My "studio" is an Argon8X and an Akai MPC One. The difference in quality and customer support between the two products and, by extension, Modal and Akai is astonishing. Modal absolutely nailing here. The one time I had to contact support my issue was solved in < 30 minutes. Keep it up.

Damn it! After procrastinating all morning, tinkering with my Argon, I sat down to have some lunch with every intention of working on a looming deadline, this popped on my feed and now I've downloaded it. Oh well, still 4 days until the deadline. Great work Modal.
Awesome update. I just tried out the new reverb, and y'all have outdone yourselves pretty damn hard. It's awesome. I love the new chorus and phaser, too, and the EQ is a super welcome and invaluable addition.
Six months ago, I got my first synthesizer, which was Argon. And after I began to get to know him, it became clear what potential and strength he had. And this is confirmed. You guys are great. I'm going to install the update.️🙌
Wow Modal! What a massive support for this already wonderful synth! Thank you so much ♥️ For me, it is perfect timing. I am just going deep into it with mine and was wondering whether it would benefit from a distortion. But now its almost a Cobalt as well!!! Good job!

The things we can do now with the new filters, the amazing new reverb, and then the free run and vintage parameter, just curious where you'll take Cobalt next, loved my Argon8m since the first day I got it, and really happy to see the evolution here! Though I can't see any need for a Cobalt after this... A little quirk with the modal app though, try running it and using it as a librarian on an MS Surface (no mouse or kb connected, just finger and pen), not easy, and not a very tablet-friendly interface!
Would love to see the OSC Free run and “ vintage “ meta function make to Cobalt8 along with the Sallen Key and the OG A8 2 pole SVF as well to do MS and OB style patches 😉
How many Presets should my Argon 8 have with Version 3.2 ? I'm a bit confused if they are automatically installed with the Firmware update or as a separate download ? Thanks
The argon and cobalt plugin overloads the cpu in Ableton 12 and constantly crashes on a 12-core xeon MAC with 64gb ram, how is it possible? Please fix that now and offer support so I don't have to put these types of comments in public, thank you
I attempted to update to this firmware and it bricked my synth. Its now stuck in a cycle of factory resetting & "incorrect firmware, please contact support" So far the support team has been frustrating to work with. Any assistance would be appreciated!

My main interests for an update on cobalt: filters, reverb, fx (dist)
People always said argon’s FX were quite awful, does this update improves them? That’s the only thing holding me back from buying this synth
