I honestly believe, that THIS is as close as we can possibly ever get to a 1980s Taiwanese singer's sound and feel... 🤔 This is really how they actually sang it back then in the 80s, just like how I remember it. You simply CANNOT recreate this kind of classic sound and feel anymore. Most people nowadays just sing way too fast, and either TALK or BREATHE over their songs; but THIS girl is on a whole other level. She really puts 100% effort into it. Very skilled and talented. I have listened to ALOT of other different people who have tried do covers of this song, and I find myself constantly always coming back to THIS version; because I think only SHE can sing it better than anybody else could (pro OR amateur). It sounds VERY, very close to Sarah Chen's original 1989 version. Just PERFECT pitch and tone. Very nice and clear voice. 30+ years of listening to this song with my old ears cannot fool me. If this girl was actually around in Taiwan back in 1989, she would be TOUGH competition even for Sarah Chen herself. This young girl would literally become a '大明星' overnight... I swear, she is REALLY that good! Now, if only she can perform '心雨' (another classic 80's Taiwanese song) then that would be just EXCELLENT!!! 🌟🌟
Simply AWESOME, and it cannot be covered any better by anybody else from this era... VERY well done, with a nice authentic 'classic' vocal sound. I don't know if any of you other listeners out there can tell, but I could tell that she even injects a bit of a 1980s Taiwan feel back into it, and this kinda old classic feeling simply CANNOT be re-created anymore by modern artists these days. Her voice does WONDERS for this song. I've been listening to the original by Sarah Chen for over 30+ years, and it also happens to be one of my #1 FAVORITE Taiwanese pop songs, so I would totally know for 100% sure if it's a good cover or not. She's definitely '天王巨星' material!💯
