      Exodus 820 Jason Becca is still alive he doesn’t need Marty to carry on his legacy he has his own legacy. He Is still incredible ! I’m an Electric wheelchair user here my carers put my heavy electric Ibanez guitar into my lap each day and I play death metal,
      Jason is my hero you have no idea how much hope joy and strength Jason gives people like me People with the hell of deteriorating neurological conditions. Jason can blink and write the most incredible piece of shread ever. You guys couldn’t even imagine being as creative as genius as incredible as he is his strength his endurance his persistence his bravery and courage so go watch this video about Jason
      . One thing is for sure you will never be as good at guitarist as Jason was you will never be able to play like he did and you will never be able to write like he does.

    When I listen to music like this it makes me feel like all the troubles, all the baggage, my sins, my worries and the stress and pressure fade away, and what is left is a reset human ready to do anything. Like all that matters is the joy I get from listening to the song.
    I think I need more of this in my life, the aggressive metal I usually listen to maybe isn’t as much a de-stressor as I thought it was.

Gracias Marty

    This is a prime example of what people mean when they say tone is in the fingers. When Marty plays, you can hear that he's in total control of the notes in their entire duration. So many guitar players put their finger on a fret, pick the string, and think that's all they have to do to play a note.

    • @jasonbrody6706

      two words..."Gary More"..

    • @marviosantos
      @marviosantos 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Me thinks you're confusing tone with style...
      Stylistically Marty's playing is absolutely unique, his vibrato, his half bends, the chord progressions and scales he chooses, all combine to present his music in a one of a kind and gorgeous way. But tone? It's really funny, I was listening to the song and thinking: "Dude, Marty, you're not 17 anymore what's with the over saturated/compressed guitar? What's with the dead flat crunch and clean tone?"
      Seriously, his always had pretty crappy tone, you could literally give his guitar to anybody proficient and it would sound exactly the same, with the amount of Gain, compression in the pre-amp, and the horrible scooped EQ that he hasn't outgrown yet there's no touch sensitivity in that instrument.
      Take a guy like Malmsteen, for example (and for crying out loud I'm not saying his better/worse than Marty, never understood the argument anyway), but you take his rig, give it to somebody else and it would sound completely different, because believe it or not he runs very little gain in front of his amp, getting most of his crunch from the output tubes, there's where the magic lives, play it soft/hard, pick closer to the bridge/neck, change the pick attack and slant, and they all have an effect in the TONE.
      Just my 2 cents...

    • @ShredST
      @ShredST 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Marvio Botticelli Supposedly, Marty just asks his guitar tech to dial a standard rock sound for him. He doesn't worry about that stuff at all.
      I don't see the point of divorcing tone from a player's touch. Tone doesn't exist in a vacuum. For guitar to produce a sound, it needs someone to pick the string.
      Even if the sound from the amp is compressed, the difference is still there. I remember watching a video of Brett Garsed playing through the shitty metal channel of a Roland Cube, and so much of his sound was still preserved. I've played the same amp, and no way could I sound like him when he played it.

      ShredST Marvio Botticelli Interesting comments both of you. Please keep it civil as you both seem very intelligent. I'd love to read more from you two and I'd hate to miss out on some potentially enlightening points because one of you decides to lose his shit on the other. Forgive my paranoia but you know, it's youtube after all.

      It's in the fingers. He could play on a hello kitty toy guitar and it would still sound good. I've played guitar for 20 years now and only now am I learning how to really let my left hand make the notes sing. Too many people are obsessed with right hand technique and picking that they forget what makes the music is actually the left hand.

    there is just no one else on the planet playing with this vibrato and so much emotion, late Gary Moore was the only other guitarist i can think off, Marty is a guitar singer rather than a guitar player.

      Kanji means Symbol(letter) from ancient Han(kan) dynasty. Glad they kept the kanji, the simplified chinese symbols we have right now is gimped.
      E.g.
      Love symbol had “heart” taken out
      Family symbol had “visit” taken out
      Village symbol had “male” taken out

    One would think that in these generations, people would care about the music rather than what the artist is wearing and what is displayed in the music video. I guess people will always be idiots.

    Please don't call something 'Japanesy'. That's more than a bit disrespectful.
    The themes in this are universal.
    Spoiler alert:
    Older brother dies. Younger sister mourns him. She carries on with her practice because she knows it's what he'd want and it's her way of honoring his memory. His death caused their family a lot of survivors guilt yet she keeps on going. Eventually she achieves a higher level of skill thus surpassing and further honoring her brother.
    The family is together at the end because her winning her title represents their having healed as a family because she's helped them realize that life goes on, and that just because someone you love dies it doesn't mean you stop celebrating the good things (like love) life has to offer.
    Why is that so hard to understand? And what is wrong with Marty being happy in the culture that has adopted him? He's very much loved over there. He inspires so many people around the world. Why do people expect him to go back to second string in a potentially toxic situation when he clearly finds so much joy where he's at? Open your minds. Accept the fact that Marty has moved on. Some of you need to follow suit..and learn some manners.
