Yes please do a water color pencil series. Using different inks, pens, crayons, pastels, and pencils has helped me give my projects such dimension. I have also made my own metallic waxes using mica powder and beeswax which you showed in a previous video. So many ideas! Thank you Natalie.
I am happy to have found your channel--you have lots of good ideas. I have been papercrafting for at least 25 years, so it's not often I come across new ideas. Thanks!
WOW!! So many coloring techniques to try. I especially like the watercolor with the veining. It gives the flower such a dimensional and realistic look. This is another of your videos that will be watched over again to refresh the multitude of ideas. Thank you so much Natalie. You are a treasure.
When you water coloured the first flower then added veins,it reminded me of alstromerias (one of my favorite flowers) Great colouring techniques Natalie, thanks so much for a very helpful video! Ann.x
Natalie, would love to see a video using water color pencils!! Just loved all your ideas!! So very creative!! I love to start my New Year with a video from you!!
So many possibilities. Thanks for sharing again and putting your ideas in a playlist. I forget about techniques and that's a great way to visit some of them. A video on watercolur pencils would be much appreciated. I am always looking forward to see what great ideas you come up with.
Natalie, I really enjoyed this. I never realized that I’ve never stamped my die cuts and I die cut all the time! I’ve wanted to do text on a layer, but I’ll have to try some media stamps and try that. It was nice to see all the different kinds in the same color. I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I knew I’d like it, but not as much as I have.
You are so talented. I’m very envious as I have no talent but I try. Thank you for so many ideas and I say yes please to anything and everything you can show. 🌻🌻
Wonderful video… alway a JOY! I appreciate you sharing your creative talents… a video on Watercolor Pencils would be much welcomed!! Have a fabulous day! 🎨🥰🤗
Another fabulous video! I learn so much from you. I would love a watercolour video. I've had some for ages that I don't have the confidence to use, so I would love your help!
Terrific ideas. When you pulled out your distressed colored pencils I went to check if those were what I had. I haven't known the best way to use them as I wasn't sure if they worked the same as regular colored pencils. I did a bit with them to leave a review, but I suspect you have a head full of ideas that I would never think of. I have sets 1-3. I didn't realize that they had 4-6 out. Perhaps I can get them from Amazon to review like the first three. Anyhow I would love to see more ideas on using them. I have a plethora of colored pencils, regular and watercolor, as well as lots of pens and markers, etc. I love finding new ways to use them. I loved all the ideas with the same die cut as it makes it easier to see the difference in each item since the shape is the same, it is only the color that changes. Thank you again. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
What a fun bonus video. Makes me want to get ready for spring. It’s been a rather drab dreary winter so far here in Ohio US. I’ll be trying out your coloring techniques for sure. Thank you!
Happy New Year!🎉 Wishing you a 2025 of peace, love, good health, happiness, prosperity and infinite possibilities! Die cut December was wonderful! So many great ideas and so many beautiful cards. I would love a 10 ways with watercolor pencils video. I’ll gladly watch any video you’d like to share with us! Thank you again for sharing your time, talent, and creativity! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much. Coloring should be basic, but tricky to make it look real. This video is a big help. I have these tools but wasn’t sure how to go about using them!
i think a watercolor pencil video would be great! I have 1 pkg of distress crayons in colors I love but I’ve never used yet. I want to try to do a background with them. So I’m always agreeable to any of your videos! 😊
Awesome video! Love all the options you showed!! YES, would love a video on using watercolor pencils!!!! Mine definitely need some love so that would be great!!!😊
I'm overwhelmed! I saved this video to multiple playlists for when I need to jazz up my die cuts. I can see applying these techniques for something as basic as circles
Good heavens, Natalie.... My head is spinning! Most people have two or three ways to color up their sleeves, but *FOURTEEN* ??!! Wow. I have thoroughly enjoyed this adventure in coloring and will refer to it often. Thank you for all the work that went into making this video for us. Happy New Year to you and all those you love. 💜Mary
Every single one of those flowers are scrumptious. I very much enjoyed this video with all the techniques. You certainly gave me many ideas 😅. I would love a video of watercolor pencils. Thank you again Natalie for sharing all you do. 🌼🌼🌼
WOW.... fantastic video! If I have to color a lot of pieces, I use a Gel Plate. I use acrylic paint, oxide or alcohol inks, watercolors and more. A vid with watercolor pencils would be fantasic! I also would love one about dot markers (if you haven't done it already 😅). I love your channel, and I have still a lot to discover. You are awesome ❤❤❤, thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️! Greetings from switzerland 🇨🇭
Best wishes for the new year Natalie and thank you for all the colouring ideas on the flowers . Can you give us some card design ideas for using the flowers please .
🤭 Be careful you don’t make them look diseased…unless you want them to look that way. 🤣 Despite having multiple coloring utensils, I’m lousy at coloring (hence my plethora of colored and patterned paper). Thank you for the tutorial!
Very good . Don’t know about you but I tend to forget you don’t need to do thiings , ( like colouring ) , just 5he one way . This makes me want to colour a load of stuff now !
Your technics and tips are always amazing, Natalie! Would definitely enjoy a video on watercolor pencils - I am hopeless with them - lol. Thank you for all the talent and effort that you put into your tutorials. Happy New Year to you and your family. May it be a year of love health and prosperity!
Off to a great start with crafty ideas in 2025. Lots great ideas, tfs Id love a video exploring ways to use my water colour pencils, I've never had any real great results using mine, any help gratefully received!
Brilliant video Natalie. Thank you. I was always slightly terrified of using watercolours (I’m no artist - I couldn’t draw a pair of curtains!) But you have inspired me to dig out my paint pallet and have a go with some of your techniques. I now have even more ideas on how to use them Plus some really imaginative things to do with some of my other craft supplies. A fantastic way to start the New Year - thank you!
Lots of great ideas . I’m definitely looking into the Tim holtz crayons. Just worried they will get left on the shelf with other things . But they do look great . Yes I know I’m late to the party with them . Lol x

Gamsol with colored pencils really blurs it out well. I really like using that.
I've not tried it. Maybe one day. :)
@ another tip I have but haven’t tried yet. Instead of using stumps to blend with gamsol, buy an empty copic marker and put it in there! Voile’!
Wow! Thanks for reminding me of so many ways to colour.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. x

I just bought all those spectrum noir triblends before Christmas! I haven’t used them yet of course-story of my life. But I hope I’m happy with the color choices. My pleasure! :)
Happy New Year to you and your Subscribers. X
Happy New Year to you, too! 🥳🎊🥂🎉
Such wonderful.tips & tricks! Tfs :)
Thank you so much 😊
Great suggestions, thanks. Hope you don't mind if I share a few tips, I've learned over the years. I always have some scrap card on hand to soak up the excess ink on my glass mat before wiping it clean. I never put a wet paintbrush directly to a watercolour pencil as it weakens both the pencil, making the point break too often, and ruins the wood, it is safer to draw on tear off palette, or only use on woodless pencils. I have seen recent alcohol marker tutorials by artists now teaching the same way you used for vellum with all paper and card, i.e. let the alcohol evaporate before adding next shade, as the alcohol lifts some of the first colour off. They also explain blenders are not blenders but colour lifters. You can use watercolour pencils on vellum, if you first lay a base with oil pencils like polychromos. I learnt in parchment art to use very sharp pencils, hold vertically, and use a flicking motion to get very realistic results, with veins made using a mix of short, long strokes. If using vellum you can use non tacky removable tape to hold over an image and colour without tracing the outlines to get realistic flowers. I love both my polychromos and Albrecht Durēr's, but as you say crayola and also WH Smith pencils are good too. I'd like to see what other techniques you use with watercolour pencils. Have you used goache paints?
Great tips. Thanks. The watercolour pencils I used in this video don't contain wood. They're solid pigment, so it's fine to take a paintbrush straight to them. X
I have saved your pigment powder vids to watch later, as I have loads of them.
