    This was excellent! Scott's approach to people and connection puts to words the challenges we all run into, while giving such a beautifully succinct alternative approach -- Talk, Love, Truth.

    Fascinating perspective... great to see someone offer a practical, practicable, and tolerance-based solution to the turmoil of our nation. Wonderful!

    What a thought-provoking talk that seems to counter many people's current views. Backed by jokes that landed quite well, it was more than able to get the point across. Well done.

    This is a well thought out and constructed treatise on how to communicate in these divisive times. With humor and insight, Scott seeks to break down barriers by leading with compassion, love and listening. Beautifully done!

    Scott’s first point about talking resonates most with me. I know it’s important to talk with people whose views are different, but it is easier to just avoid them. That isn’t the way forward for me and my fellow Americans, though. Thank you, Scott, for that direct reminder, spoken with love.

    Humane, thoughtful and never didactic. His expansion of the notion of 'met' and how it has guided his life hit hard. Combined with 'dialogue' it makes for a powerful and fruitful way to live one's life, something he seems to personally practice as he engages with the world. One clearly senses his admiration for our 16th President. I enjoyed how he tied together his opening comments with his final comments, right down to the final visual gesture of entwining his hands. On a much lighter note that is one beautiful linen suit and it was topped off nicely by the vest and pocket square. Intelligent and understated, just like his talk.

    This one is very thoughtful and civically-productive. Talking across political divisions is something everyone should try to make happen in their own lives

    Wow! Thank you, Scott! I so appreciate the Pledge of Allegiance 'edit timeline' and wish we could go back to the original from 1892: I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands, one nation, INDIVISIBLE, with liberty and justice for all.
    Appreciate your wisdom and agree: “In a house divided against itself, lies are termites. Lies are the first refuge of the coward, or citizens, including me, with hand over heart, reciting words that are not in my heart… We the people could reaffirm our pledge by investing it with new meaning to make it true for us today.”

    Scott addresses the disunity we experience in the US with practical suggestions that could make a difference from the grassroots level. I hope people will not only listen to this, but implement his suggestions to truly become more tolerant and unified. We can’t call ourselves tolerant, if we are unable to listen and engage people who think differently than we do.

    So wise! Thank you for sharing principles of HUMANITY. ONEness.
    LOVE: “The respectful consideration we should give everybody.” What a perfect definition.
    Charity = Dignity
    TRUTH: a house divided against itself, Lies are termites.
    As an educator, I stand with you. Our children recite the pledge daily… UNITED we Stand.
    “Indivisible”…. Liberty and Justice for all.
    So much goodness in this conversation, Thank you Mr. Carter.
