I've owned monitors from 1080p all the way up to 4k and here's how I will summarize my experience with them all. 1080p: Like a Honda Civic. 1080p is nothing fancy, but it's cheap to run and wont require a bunch of money to be dumped into it to keep it running for years in the future. 1440p: Like a nice comfortable Lexus. Looks good, feels good, and it is almost impossible to go back to the former once you get used to it. Little more expensive to run and maintain, but nothing too crazy and it shouldn't burn a big hole in your wallet. 4k: The BMW/ Mercedes of gaming. One of the best experiences when everything is running smoothly, but it will cost a lot of money to keep it running that way. Nice to have if you can afford it, but totally unnecessary to own considering the Lexus will give you 85% of the experience but at a fraction of the cost.

I recently bought the MSI G274QPF at Costco for 220 bucks which is an insane steal for a gaming monitor! 1440p resolution, 170hz refresh rate, Wide Color Gamete, Rapid IPS panel, 27 inch which is the sweet spot screen size for my desk setup and has more connection ports ! And was very satisfied as my early Christmas present!

What is the perceived value you get from the 4K display? Are you really gonna notice the difference over 1440p in the middle of the action? That's the real question. Often times, you need to zoom in the picture a bit to notice the difference between 1440p 27" vs 4K 32". Is that worth having to buy an RTX xx90 GPU every 2 years just so you can game on 4K at high enough settings...

My man, this is what I needed to here. What makes this video stand out is the footage of the screen looks good, and more importantly demonstrated the use cases for different types of games. I'm so relieved about 32 inch 1440p gaming.
its funny .. there is zero competitive between 2K and 4K .. 4K 144hz IPS HDR 1ms with AAA games specially fresh one in 2023 is so sick and pretty eye catcher .. its an experiement u need to try and taste it if u can offer it. it takes you to different upper level in gameplay .. but if you are a co-op gamer like fortnite COD etc u can stick with 1440 since they are not demanding much of quality .. upcoming games is amazing and its kinds scary how texture quality they are already developing and only 4K can stand for it .. we may see 8k games in less than 2 years .. remember my words
I would rather get 4k60hz monitor than returning to 1440p monitor. Upscaling looks better than native vs 1440p upscaled to 4k. If you are one of esport enjoyer yeah sure you can play even on 1080p it doesn't matter to you. But if you like single player games I would rather upscale from 1080-1440p to 4k, since it looks better. I'm also using monitor for work and 4k is a huge upgrade for text clarity.
I have 1440P last 4 years but I'm thinking about 60hz 4k mainly because new games don't run stable even at 120FPS at high details with DLSS. And I have 3080+13600K. I don't enjoy games as much as I used to, and I don't enjoy having to worry about how long the game will take. Game optimization is getting worse and worse, and I believe that we won't be able to maintain even 144hz in a few years without the crutches of DLSS and fake fps.
it is untested company, but considering they manufacturing for samsung might mean they can be somewhat durable, hopefully the pricetags on black friday comes from the fact that they want to enter eu and america market not because its bad hardware
If good value GPUs could easily drive 4K to high fps then 4K would be a no brainer over 1440p but in the real world only the most expensive GPUs can cope and that is not worth it for most people. 1440p is the best value at the moment.
I heard that 1440p 2k is bad for Nintendo switch and PS4 because it does not know how to handle 1080p...anybody has any info on that? Also how does it handle 1080p movies or 780 youtube videos.
To be honest, I really enjoyed the Beta. The TTK being longer felt nice. MWII was "fine", a good time still but I just play multiplayer. Still on the fence if I'm going to pick up MW3
Hello, I received this screen today and honestly I was very disappointed. The screen does not contain any sound. Does this mean that I have to use headphones to be able to hear the sound? If so, I'll definitely send it back. I hope you give me the reply. Thank you
4k brings way better visibility at far ranges, making it great in pvp games like warzone. The bad things come down to your hardware not being good enough to have high frames and also generally 4k monitors were made with pve gamers in mind so they make them stupid big which is a henderence to pvp games because it lowers the ppi of the screen. In my opinion, being able to see my target from all ranges is outways the negatives about them. If you can afford it 4k all the way baby.
I have a g5 and I love that curve, but I only play games. Reading text can kinda suck as everything towards the edges of the screen stretches. You’re eyes naturally just want to fall into the focal point in the centre so if you need the whole screen a curved will likely not be the one .

Should I get a 1440 monitor for my PS5
I have 1440P last 4 years but I'm thinking about 60hz 4k mainly because new games don't run stable even at 120FPS at high details with DLSS. And I have 3080+13600K.
I don't enjoy games as much as I used to, and I don't enjoy having to worry about how long the game will take.
Game optimization is getting worse and worse, and I believe that we won't be able to maintain even 144hz in a few years without the crutches of DLSS and fake fps.
I like your videos they're informative and straightforward and I'd be overwatch
Accessibility does not = Better.
165fps in 1440 is still better than 4K 45 fps.
U learnt the consumerism lesson well. Good job
@@The_POTATO._. yeah, and steady 4k 120 craps on 1440 165 😂

Something only a broke boy would say 💀
@@504Treyit’s not about being broke or not, it’s just not worth it yet. And why are you calling him broke in the first place? Insecure kiddo…
Coming from a 4k monitor to a 4k tv, as far as latency u really can't tell
I have a 42 inch lg c2 oled and I can’t see the difference between 4K and 1440p to be honest, maybe my 40 year old eyes though 🤣
it is untested company, but considering they manufacturing for samsung might mean they can be somewhat durable, hopefully the pricetags on black friday comes from the fact that they want to enter eu and america market not because its bad hardware
You have the tactile or linear version of the Lofree Flow ? I love that keyboard.
Looooove this KB. Linear
"It doesn't scream gamer, which I like", pretty sure the multiple consoles and controllers on your desk are still giving you away, cuzz.
lmaoo, this got me good. That's true - I just don't like alladat mega gamer aesthetic looking stuff
What do you think about MW3?
To be honest, I really enjoyed the Beta. The TTK being longer felt nice. MWII was "fine", a good time still but I just play multiplayer. Still on the fence if I'm going to pick up MW3
@@MinimalisTech they clearly improved the game. I wish I was born North American for the monitor but God make me French😂
Great review! I would play Red dead, and possibly remakes of Silent Hill 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater
I'd love that monitor to play the new call of duty next month. 😅
Love the content! Def RDD2 and COD.
Hello, I received this screen today and honestly I was very disappointed. The screen does not contain any sound. Does this mean that I have to use headphones to be able to hear the sound? If so, I'll definitely send it back.
I hope you give me the reply.
Thank you
Hi! Thanks for the video! Can you share your keyboard model? Looks sick!
For sure! It's the low free flow

@@MinimalisTech thank you very much mate!
Forza Motorsport 7. & it’ll be a nice early bday gift.
great video, I enjoyed it. if I had that monitor id be palying minecraft on it.
Good video bro
What about video editing ?
Honestly it great on a 32" inch. 1440p could be higher PPI for text clarity but it was great. I edited this specific video on this display.
That looks awesome, id be playing spider man 2 and baldurs gate 3 !
I'm confused on curved or flat?!
I play esports and narrative games, thinking to learn game dev as well. what should i go for?
I have a g5 and I love that curve, but I only play games.
Reading text can kinda suck as everything towards the edges of the screen stretches.
You’re eyes naturally just want to fall into the focal point in the centre so if you need the whole screen a curved will likely not be the one .
I would definitely play the new cod on my ps5
I have a 34 inch uwhd monitor(I'm not that much of a gamer)..it's 75 hz 1440p...is this good enough for gaming on ps5 ?
Atleast 120 hz
I prefer 1440p because I can get higher FPS
