For me, Buddy Holly is my favourite artist. All songs from Buddy Holly are excellent. Enjoy with Buddy Holly and with good covers from Peter and Gordon.
Music back then was real real talent...no tricky marketing, no flashy costumes. Just hard working musicians. We miss these great love songs where you can clearly hear the words.
Beautiful song i never get tired listening am 66 yrs old and during my hi school days every morning before the flag ceremony this song is one being played on the radiophono
My sweetheart and I lying back started singing world without love . Totally random . Peter and Gordon she said . Really ? And here we are . Love this .
Now used in a current Advert! In the sixties Terminal 2 (The Queens Building) had a booth that you could record a music single in looked like a photo booth you put your money in and when finished you got the disc that you could use on your record player perfectly. This was our favourite song at that time and still is. My twin sister and I sang this song and fell about laughing because we sounded more then awful. She has passed away and this is one of the many wonderful memories we shared.
@@duzntmatter5926 You are correct. Peter's harmony is great. The best I heard him harmonize was on the remake of the Everly Brothers Let It Be Me. Oh my they were fantastic. Peter is great and so is Gordon.
The other day I was reminded of this beautiful song again. The sixties went back to me. I was in my low teenages then, and was really knocked when I heard it. I warming memory.
Thank you John for this great song and video. I have always believed Peter and Gordon never really received their proper due among the groups of their generation and that they were much unappreciated by the music industry. Thanks again and God Bless.
Thank you John 1948 Ten : For posting this wonderful video to me one of the best time I ever That I've had stil the best duets until now 2018 I',m 71 going soon 72 it makes me sad remember New York City 1964 I'm far way now Tx. and how time passed so fast my eyes shining with tears but is ok peter & Gordon for ever more .
I was so happy to receive a vintage Peter & Gordan album from one of my daughter's teenage friends who had been paying attention to my good ol' music. We must spread the GOOD MUSIC and Words of yesterdays, especially admid the current raunch and filth contaminating the youth of today. So saddened by the perpetuation of non-musical talent and wordsymthieness (yeah, may not be a word) of what the media titilates our airwaves with.
John1948Ten: Thanks so much for posting this. I've listened to it over and over again. I love it and remember when they were on TV with this performance. I get a lot of enjoyment from this video. Thank you. 2024 EDIT - Still love to listen to this. Thanks for posting it.
I saw these guys at a club in northern Michigan called the Ponytail back in the 60s and they were pretty amazing for back then. I also saw Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels there and a good unknown band called the City Limits.
One of my favorite Buddy Holly songs. Peter & Gordon did a wonderful job.
For me, Buddy Holly is my favourite artist. All songs from Buddy Holly are excellent. Enjoy with Buddy Holly and with good covers from Peter and Gordon.
I dedicate this to all my old girl friends. I hope you all remember me every once in awhile, cause I sure do think of you. Oh my I miss the 60s.
My favorite duet. My brother and I used to pretend we had mics and sing along with them with strong feelings on our faces.
They were underrated as an act. Their harmonies were excellent. This rendition of a Buddy Holly classic was a beautifully done job.
Not really, and if you were a fan, I was, and, , they were high on my list.
Music back then was real real talent...no tricky marketing, no flashy costumes. Just hard working musicians. We miss these great love songs where you can clearly hear the words.
Gordon Wallers voice just penetrates my soul, he is singing with the angels now.
wonderful cover of Buddy Holly
I hope our Gordon is singing with the angels the little bugger. Lovely guy and full of mischief.
I use to listen to this In 1965. I was 12 years old and I always cried like right now because it touches my
Heart. RIP Gordon ❤️❤️
I was the same age in 1965 and I also loved this song so much. I was born in 1953
Simply beautiful. Great song and a perfect rendition. RIP Gordon.
The days of innocence. ....beautiful
Back in the days when great singing was hip and cool.
And it isn’t now???
@@mikechurchill1071 no!
Peter and Gordon were never particularly cool or hip to be honest
A tear or two fell reminiscing my youth. Love this duo.
Ah, the 50s and 60s music. Glad i live thru it.
Their harmonizing is unbelievable!
love this song!! bring back old happy memories of the 60's,.
The days of real classic music - now gone forever
They linger here with all the people who come to remember or visit the old days
To me the real classic music of the 1960's is forever alive and looking back to memory lane. 💓👏🌹🌺✌️. " True Love Ways" =" Forever True Love Ways".
Just like i said above; Dear God what happened to people??!!
You can't tell from this old video but I always remember Peter Asher had the most brilliantly red hair you ever saw in your life...
I love these guys. I was a freshman in college when i first heard them in 1966. We girls would sit in the dorm and sing and cry to their music!
The BEST of Peter & Gordon..our team song for 53 years of marriage.

Oh man...this is the best from Peter and Gordon. Remember slow dancing at a school dance to this song.....
I loved their rendition of the Everly Brothers Let It Be Me when they were younger.
Really love this version, these guys were great at harmonizing.
Absolutely wonderful rendition of this song.
These guys are amazingly good...great in fact. Super talents during a time there was a lot of talent and it was hard to keep up with it all.
WONDERFUL DUO.....my old time favorite...!
1964 the year before my husband and I married 55 years now memories beautiful ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Reminds me the happy years in London. Goosebumps!
They were the best times in London weren't they.

Beautiful song... afther all this years so good!!!
My sweetheart and I lying back started singing world without love . Totally random . Peter and Gordon she said . Really ? And here we are . Love this .

These guys were among the best. Gordon had a great voice (rip) and Peter did excellent harmony. Those were the days. Rock music today is "CRAP"!
Jon Sutter Peters harmony is absolutely beautiful

The Mrs. and I must have danced half way across Kansas to this song
Will never forget Gorden performing this at the LA Beatlefest. I lost it. Had a good cry. RIP
❤ RIP Gordon u beautiful man.
This was yesterday when i was young and in love...LOVE it!!!!
I'm old enough to have enjoyed Buddy Holly, but Peter and Gordon would have made Buddy proud doing this song.
Astonishingly powerful performance of a superb song. Peter looks like Austin Powers and Gordon looks like a dreamboat :) RIP Gordon
Gordon passed away from a heart attack on 17th July 2009.
Larry Wyse I know, so sad, I never saw them perform together in person :(
+mysticmaverick1 me either and i love 1960's love song duo groups
Gordon was a dreamboat. Gorgeous. He aged so fast. At 45 he looked like he was 60.

I agree. All people thought in their industry was Peter's sister dated Paul McCartney and their singing never got appreciated like it should have.

What a great cover of the Buddy Holly tune !
A nice Tribute !
This version of True Love Ways got to #2 in the UK, #4 in Ireland and #14 in the USA in 1965.
Slow Dancin with your girl ..She swayed so close by the end of the dance your belt buckle shined . Those were the fun days PERIOD !!
Also one of my favorite Buddy Holly songs, but this rendition is equally as good, but they can't do anything wrong in my eyes, these two
Simply beautiful.
Bonita versión de la canción compuesta por Buddy Holley. Muy bien tocada y cantada. Da gusto escucharla.
So beautiful!! Usually I don't like remakes of the already perfect one that came out before, but this is just as beautiful as Buddy Holly's version.
There remake of the Everly Brothers Let It Be Me is fantastic. Great harmony. I love it when they were younger singing it.
After all these years, this song still rips my heart out.....Where is my scotch?.......
Let's all have a drink and remember the good times.
Mine also
