Northern Washington is a great place for self-made business owners. My uncle owned and operated a rock quarry for years and became wealthy. I’m glad to see Jason making his own resources to build what he needs to help extract more resources from his mine!
Yes, still lots of natural splendor to ruin up there. Flatten it all! Cut and burn!
Yes the Crystalline core of the North Cascades is full of minerals and volcanics
Uncle Al in Kendall? He's my uncle too, lol.
Man this really brought back memories! I used to cut for the railroad industry, tie logs. I kinda miss it.
Is there anything this guy can’t do? Pretty sure next he’s going to be baking cupcakes from locally forged materials 😂. Totally respect the hustle man, looking forward to part 2
And they would probably be absolutely delicious..... 😂👍
keep an eye out, you never know but i think the Lynden Fair is about to or is ongoing, he might be entered in some of the baking competitions with the other grange ladies
Right!?
Hey guys, my name is Jason with cups of cakes and today I am gonna show you how to do icing.
Lol
Thank you. I look forward to watching this mine unfold.
I was a log scaler for a saw mill in maine many years ago and watching you scale those brings back memories. We would deduct for rot and sweep or any other blemishes and then pay on the scale. But now im into recreational mining 😂
I was born a raised in Aroostook County went to School in Ashland, was a logger for a few years but mainly a trucker, what part of Maine did u work?

Nice I lived in Machias from 1994 to 2020@@waynelacroix8870
Recreational mining. Like digging beer out of a cooler?
@bennichols1113 yeah digging beer out of a cooler. What a dolt!
Bloody hell mate I was glued to the screen, nothing better than timberfallin millin and mining. They go hand in hand. 🇦🇺👍🏻
Super excited for this project!
That's really cool! Appreciate you showing the process step by step - wedges and all.
I remember my dad first bringing home plastic wedges for wood cutting. I thought he was nuts. I definitely learned that once again he was right. Damn he's always been good at that.😂
its so satisfying seeing how much timber you came back with after cutting down and hauling that huge tree, at the low cost of a new bandsaw blade
And gas, and wearing and tear on the truck, chain saw, etc.
Golden work Jason
Gave me a Major Flashback! 😳
In 1995 I bought a portable band sawmill. We owned 40a in Harrietta Michigan with beautiful 24”~36” Red Pines. I logged off, sawed/dried enough to build a 24’ x 64’ two story timber frame barn. I did this work By My Self 99%😅 It was a super fun Bucket List project.
I really enjoyed the sawer’s grumblings about the dirty logs. 😂 The dirty log issue I solved by making a log sleds.
Really interesting video.
Thanks Jason
Peace Prospector Tripp
Jason, I am looking forward to this mining series. Thank you so much for putting all this on TH-cam.
My grandfather worked for Cal-Mills. Scrap was brought home so we could build forts. One man's scrap is another child's fortune.
I've been looking forward to this chapter of your adventure
You always blow my mind with how resourceful you are . . .
And that's a great lesson for me and anyone else who has hard rock mining aspirations . . .
The more resourceful one is, the lower the grade of ore one can sustain themselves with.
Fantastic example as always . . .
Thanks Jason! I'm enjoying this journey...and *WHAT* a view! ♥
Love that you show all the steps that need to happen to get to the point of actually mining of your gold
Nice work Jason but remember your circular air flow for the mine👍
Wow Jason your a Jack of all trades. I'm going be be enjoying the adventures to come
Jason will be prospecting on Mars in a few years
@@JasperKlijndijk😂😂❤
Jason really liked seeing what it really tales to set up a mine from getting & cutting wood to framing. Can’t wait to see more & results of your gold mine!👍👍😎💪
Brilliant work. The absolute essence of practicality combined with very smart thinking. Bravo.
Hi Jason, Fantastic start! Love Fred with his comments. Looking forward to 4 or 5 months of mining videos! Stay safe!! Thumbs up!! Jim
Excited to watch this series. Turned my notifications bell on.
What an awesome view.. Great work too.
Nice Job.. looking forward seeing more!
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Way to go Jason, I've been waiting to see this video since you spoke of it.... im thrilled to see what you pull out
Be safe, and have a bunch of fun
Videos every week or so ??
amazing that your operation is so sustainable
Amazing you have all this stuff local. Good job was nice seeing the process.
I am going to share this video with Sarah Huckabee-Sanders and other people in hopes that it helps convince people who much we need to resurrect the small scale mining industry in America!
This is rhe most amazing thing I have ever seen. Legend. The sawmill opwrator seemed very grumpy....
This seems like the start of a World of Warxraft instance/dungeon.... The making of one!
My man! Bringing the forestry and the mining! 🎉
It always amazes me how big trees look on the ground.
awesome series looking forward to the rest of it
The view from that deck is incredible. I would live in that thing and enjoy that view with my coffee every morning.
Dang, Jason, you got the wayback machine running for me today! Felling trees, limbing, setting chokers, then using a rubber tired skidder to move the trees out ... reminds me of when I was a kid in the woods of Montana with my dad. Thanks for rekindling the memories! :o)
Jason--This is a really outstanding video, I enjoyed it alot.
This is really interesting to watch Jason, thank you for taking the time to show us how you do it.
Nice to see some of the actual work that goes into mining.
Nice Work Jason ! I'm looking forward to seeing the mines output !
Great this will be the adventure of a lifetime! Good luck Jason! If I was 20 years younger I would work for you but I’m only a manager now!
This beautiful tree absorbs all the metals from the earth and loves the two ancient essences, gold and silver, the sun is gold and the moon is silver.
That was awesome. Saved a ton on cutting your own timber. Loved it when the pipe just broke after trying to cut it. Glad you are up and running.
When i saw you fell and skid the logs remembering our jobs in 90, when we worked in Logging company...Thanks' for sharing the vid.
Thanks Jason… this is exciting.
I’m just glad you have help Jason! Put up a cool shack and I’ll cook for you guys!
Enjoyed watching, looking forward to future videos of your adventures into your mine
This is quite unusual content, thank you.
Now thats a hard working Lumberjack/Miner/Carpenter/Landscaper... 🤠
Congratulations Jason with the first steps of your own goldmine🤝🏻
May the results of your hard work be shining and plentiful👌🏻
Just love your hustle man! Just a humble dude working hard and sharing your journey, including valuable insight and mistakes with TH-cam!
Watching your forestry content on here is like your evil twin 😂 I know *of* that side of your business, but I'm really not that interested in that
So when the second intro hit, it was "SURPISE! YOU GET THE OTHER JASON!" 😂
And like, holy crow, but you said "I'm going to take a few trees down" and I was not expecting that level of skill, proficiency, and correct tools, on a mining channel 😅
I left this comment right before you loaded the entire log on the bed of the truck. Definitely still a mining channel 🤣
Damn Jason is a beast and I hope you strike it rich my man!!! Great health to you and yours.
Than's Jason you are doing a sterling job at the new mine
I love watching this. Going to be exciting to see what comes out.
Great colab of Mine Operator and all your channels! :P
Awesome content as always, looking forward to more!
Cool stuff Jason thanks for sharing especially the log milling. Sweet!
Love watching Jason’s videos! This guy can truly do anything what a hard working dude!!
Very interesting video and looking forward to part 2👍💚💛❤️
Awesome Jason love all your hard work and great insights into mining and refining. Thanks for sharing.
Just awesome! I am so looking forward to watching this series!
I love watching your mining and smelting videos Jason! It was cool to watch the process in getting the timber for the mine. I didn't think too much about the wood necessary for the hard rock mining but it was interesting to see. Good luck with your gold mine sir!
Loving this video and seeing all your work and progress. Enjoy all your videos.
Fantastic development and great to see familiar miners helping you with your new endeavor 💛🙏🏼
Before you start mining, maybe have the "pond" area inside the mine, where that miner was murdered/drowned/dropped, cleansed by a priest 🙏🏼⭐
Can’t wait to watch your project continue! Good luck and happy mining Jason!
Jason is a do anything type guy. Very talented guy. Keep up the good work‼️‼️
Don't stop with these videos I really want to see your mine progress
Man that tree cutting was a lot of freaking work. And you had it fast forward it to like 3 minutes. Amazing
Awesome video Jason. I love you're work. Good job
Fred is a badass, I love his appearances. he is impervious to Jason's charisma lol!
Wow man, you have a wide skill set. I just came for the mining, but the woodworking and sawmilling was a major bonus! I love all that stuff. Great video.
This is going to be a great series. Thanks
That was great. Thank you. I'll be following the progress.
Great job showing all aspects of the beginning of a great endeavor! Wishing you continued success!
Great job Jason! I love your vids! Keep on producing them!
on your deck, have you considered making a frame so you can winch things in/out of the bed of the truck? save your back
Great video! Looks like a lot of work. Hopefully it'll be all worth it at the end
Jason, this is so awesome. I have been waiting as I am sure many have. I am looking forward to this. Good luck and be safe.
Luvly jubly! I'm really looking forward to watching this as it unfolds.
Very cool indeed! Thanks for sharing.
Great to see your progress Jason. 👍 Looking forward to your next video. 😀 Great view there. 👍😊
You Sir are the Bob the Builder of Goldminers 😊
This was a nice combination of your channels. As soon as you asked Fred what he thought of that first log, I just knew he was going to say it's dirty! 😂
Sweet...thank you Jason !
Great video! I really enjoy all your videos and I'm looking forward to this series of you opening your gold mine. Can't wait!
What a view from the portal. 🇬🇧
Looking forward to seeing what comes out from the mine, Jason! And that's a pretty sweet Studebaker truck at your sawmill 🙂👍 btw, anyone else notice the frog at the mine entrance??
Very cool! Congrats on your progress. Would love to live in an area with so many natural resources! Nothing like having your own trees and local saw mill to cut them. Definitely cheaper than buying wood at your local home depot.
this awesome! you are very talented.
Jason awesome work man!! Didn’t know you knew how to feel timber as well. Man of many talents. Keep up the outstanding work.
I was not expecting a "Guilty of Treeson" channel bit. Nice job Jason!
Great video, thank you for sharing it. Can’t wait for the next.
Great Video Jason! I love the way you brought both your channels together for this projects and am genuinely looking forward to watching and learning as you dig deeper (pun intended) into this project! Cheers, Kyle.
Great job! This is Ron from MineOperator. I see you used a Humboldt cut when felling the tree to maximize the lumber on the log.
Coming together very nice job
Looking forward to episode 2. Did'nt realize you were as well versed on so many things, Keep up the great work, you make me tired just watching!!
Exciting sir!
@16:01 - Great firewood indeed. I lived in an old 1800s house without a forced air furnace. My father in law was the local sawyer and coal hauler. He has a 48" circular blade and a band saw getup like this. He would roll by the house periodically and drop half a truck of stove coal and half a cord of cutoffs in through the old coal chute. I usually kept a fire going, but there were several winter mornings where I had to go start from scratch in a cold firebox. Holes in the floor to circulate heat was all we had.
Yes Jason this is what we have been waiting for sir thank you for sharing this six stars
The guy that milled your wood had quite a personality and you handled it so well halarious.
I seem to remember the same guy saying almost the same thing on am other video.
I mean, they were dirty logs and they do dull the blades all to hell…. but dang they came out of a dang mud pit. How do you clean off a massive log?
@@dn2817 Pressure washer? 🤔
All that decking needs is a coffee bar and lounge
Great job 👍
Freeze picture @ 22:35. Stunning view. Looks like a painting by Bob Ross.
