Wolf Alice talks about ‘Blue Weekend’

London based indieband Wolf Alice, previously known for their Shoegaze, Indiefolk sound, is back with a more poppy album called ‘Blue Weekend’. They are reaching a big audience with their profound sound. Lead singer Ellie Rowsells and Sagid Carter sat down for an interview discussing ‘Blue Weekend’. They talk about Ellie’s personal approach to the songwriting and how the album came about.

Great questions, however, Ellie usually has trouble formulating firm answers to questions from reporters.

It’s not that she has trouble formulating answers, she’s socially anxious. You’ll notice she makes little, if any, eye contact. When she comes on stage she’s in a hurry to start performing, when she’s finished performing she leaves the stage fairly quickly. It’s just who she is.

I don't think it's trouble formulating answers. It seems to me that she is making a genuine effort to give thought through answers to the questions rather than relying on canned answers like some other people would do in that situation. She is really engaging with the interviewer's questions.
