Will it always be a constant feeling choked, or does it loose it's grip eventually, somehow? Does the nightmares stop? Or are the constant reminders always as vivid and intense?

My mom used to make us wake up at 3am, be at the airport by 4am, and our flight wouldn’t leave until 7am. If there was delay, we would leave at 9😭 (our bags had already been packed for a month)
