I know most of these comments are pretty old, I really like the people who think it’s luck lmfao. One other important factor to consider while you are watching this, this was a sudden death game for winner of the tournament, winner takes all, $50,000. That’s right, one game for $50,000. Now when you watch those shots think of the pressure, on a super tight pocket table.
I've been rewatching this match for years, and I still have no idea how that ball went in. Not because of the cue ball kicking off the cushion with ridiculous English, but because of the narrow clearance of the pocket with the 6 ball in the way.
This was a great match to watch. It has good safeties, good kicks, clusters, a jump shot, a little bad luck, a little good luck, and big applauses. Although they both made great shots, neither player ran over four balls, consecutively. I enjoyed watching the back-and-forth action.
I just saw that shot at 1:59! What the f? I never even heard of this dude before this clip. This dude Chao is definitely on another level of pool, let me tell yo!. English or masse or whatever they call it...............didn't the cue ball curve slightly?
if every shot is "lucky" than what shot is pure skills? I mean, can YOU even do a jump shot and accurately hit the target ball? I think having amazing pool skills gives you an opportunity to win. Its like, when Chao made the bank that wasnt intentional. Ok, he tried to pocket it, but he missed, but it was a straight line for a bank. If he totally missed, that wouldnt happen. Pros are damn close to pocketing every shot, so they get alot of breaks.
Lucky my ass...Chao is the real champion of the champions. Dj? I think he is the man without good manner to treat his opponent. He even refused to shake hands with Chao, what a shame. I am sorry for that.
China win another championship!!! Not in the Olympics this time though. Jian-Bo Fu has just won the International Challenge of Champions in straight sets over Dennis Orcullo of the Phillipines. They have the potential to dominate this sport.
I remember watching Fong pang Chao! 👍👍
Bustamonte was stunned fromthe shot at 1:59 and the jump shot at the end.he knew he losted no hand shake or acknowledge ment.just a sore loser
Didn’t he shake hands with Chao? I thought they did, but the cameraman didn’t capture that moment.

Probably the greatest game of 9-ball I've ever seen. That shot @1:59 is insanely hard to judge. Classic stuff!

CHAO is really the king of billiard!!

One ball shot is one of the hardest shots in pool. Good game.
haha love the audience!
I was fortunate enough to be in that audience, front row on the racking end of the table.
yup i agreed there was luck. but it was his audacity to jump that ball that won him that game. he had BALLS
So that is the jump shot
Bustamante...refused to shake Chao's hand? Oh man...
luck is the residues of hard work. give chao a bit benefit of the doubt.
