It's not that bad in India, but there has been a rise in the trend of moving to first world countries. Some have done research and move accordingly. Some have nothing in their home country and seek to start a new future. Some are well settled in their new country but maybe just want a change. Most are just unprepared and going with the flow and are victims of this trend.
With your English skills which employer would give you a decent opportunity. Many Indians come to Canada with poor English skills and then expect a decent job. And this is not even talking about French, the other official language of Canada.
