the other trainers are indeed called by their true names the gold,ruby, diamond thing its just how the fans call them before the games are released with their oficial names

From my perspective, I love red because red is reflection of me as a trainer starting off with the original (I actually started with blue version but that is irrelevant). When playing silver or gold, I feel like I am facing off against an old friend that reminded me of my past adventures.

There was actually a pokedex holder tornament from the battle frontier in the manga series pokemon adventures from Red to Emerald, but they didn't show it nor they said who won. It would have been epic to watch but they decided not to. :/

Red is pretty much Easy to beat. Even in the Fanmade Pokemon Game, Where Its supposed to be "HARD" Red is easy as hell. I beat his whole Team (He is able to have 3 Megas. Instead of having 1, Like you) And I beated all of them With just an Ampharos.
Even after 9 years, I always comeback here... And I still love this remix
