Oh my gosh! This is so cool, I really want to try freestyle skating but I am very clumsily and afraid of falling! XD But, I will try anyways cause I won't let fears stop me. I have two question, How long did it take to get that good? And what kind of roller blades do I get? Does it have to be specific?
+Kathryn Ellis Hey Ellis, I'm daniel the guy in the viddeo, hmm freestyle skating is not really hard once you get the hang of your basics, just remember to bend your nee's, it will help stabilize your posture and stay grounded giving you more centre gravity, keep training foundations. Based on my experience I fell like crazy when I was training freestyle skating. It took me at least 1 year to get my forward, backwards skating posture to feel natural/comfortable. But it really helped me a lot for freestyle tricks later on. As for skates, I'd recommend getting a pair without the heel stopper, it doesn't have to be something specific, but it should feel comfortable and not too loose, its good to start with a seba FSK or seba deluxe skate. GOOD luck!!
For anyone who may see this in the future with the same question be sure to get rockered skates specifically banana rockered because flat skates will make this stuff really hard to do if not impossible
I am 16 but i started with 11 anyway i am able to ride quite quick but this is actually hard... if but a lot of effort into it and if u are able to handle ur Blades good u should be able to catch up ;)
+I DIRECT Namibia I started Ice skating before Inline skating, I started ice skating when I was 15 , I moved on to inline skating at the age of 18 and was a hybrid between both ice and inline but I prefer ice skating more, it's definitely never late to start, I've seen many people starting at 30 or even older than that, it just takes determination and also you've to set aside time to train whenever you can!, KEEP GOING!!! =D
+I DIRECT Namibia I started with 34 years old and after almost a year I'm catching up... can do some basic slalom tricks now and of course all of the "normal" skating. I haven't trained like crazy, just skated through the city regularly and did some slalom exercises on weekend trips (all without cones!). You probably should put about 1 hour daily into focused freestyle training if you want to improve (and you can't do a lot more because your feet and knees are going to hurt from that).
Thaïs Sobczyk sûrement impossible je sais je voulais juste le faire savoir que le frein arrière ne sert plus trop de que t'est à l'aise avec tes patins
love the skating... Not a huge fan of the song but to each their own :)
Beautiful video! Superb skater!!!!
