@@billmorris3146 Don't think so, in her Central Park performance with the original lineup she kicked her shoes off early in the song and performed it barefooted.
Belinda looked so happy that Charlotte stayed with her after the group's break up. They seem to be very close to each other and they also happened to be my 2 favorite members.
I met Belinda Carlise after The David Letterman Show years ago and she was so shocked that she remembered we had sat for a half hour in The Spectrum in Philly where I work years ago and talked about how the 80s music one day would be remembered as great stuff and indeed it is.A really great person and down to earth. She signed the pictures I had with her that night in The Spectrum and then had new ones at The David Letterman Show.
I've only just seen this video for the first time, I reckon the woman who ran on stage was planned, judging by how the camera angle and timing were perfect to capture it. Most films don't get that perfect in my experience. Great show, love the bare feet, it's so spontaneous and genuine.
@@thomasfilmer9717 Don't worry--today's haircuts will look psychotic in 20 years. Oh, wait, we've stagnated these days into doing nothing but the same. Carry on
They weren’t called mullets back then, in fact it didn’t have a name for the style. Only later they came up with the derogatory term “mullet”. Many people back in the 80’s styled their hair like that.
I’ve watched this video every day for several months. I didn’t pay much attention to her back then. Wish I had. This concert looks like it was a lot of fun.
What is especially nice is seeing how happy Charlotte looks when you see her in close-ups here. In a lot of live Go-Go's videos, which were made when she was still hooked on heroin, her smiles seem really forced a lot of the time--if she's smiling at all.
She's dreamy. 1986...when it was still ok for a woman to have a little meat on her bones. She wears it well. Beautiful and talented. This is a great performance.
@@DigitalCitizen1 She did have issues with her weight not by any normal standards but in the entertainment industry she did. Worst than her weight was her coke addiction. The coke helped with the weight issue. She was a beautiful woman I only wish she could have felt the same way.
Yeah, I totally meant it in terms of Hollywood expectations of women which are ridiculous. She is obviously beautiful and perfectly fit for a normal person, but they put a lot of pressure on women in showbiz to be skinny and "perfect" or whatever. I think she's stunning.
I'm 51 you kept me from not hurting myself so that I did not go to the grave, I love you guys and that is how I met my loving wife because we both like your songs, thank you.
I saw Belinda (and Charlotte) on this tour at The Chestnut Cabaret in Philly on July 3, 1986. They had surprise guests Andy Taylor (who had just left Duran Duran) and Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols.
I'm pretty sure that most of us guys back in the 80s crushed on her, I'd say at least 9 out of 10 of us did, I know I'm still crushing, she's so damn beautiful here!!! ❤️😍
That band was flowing love into the crowd and it gave it back. I can only imagine what that feels like to give that feeling to thousands of people all at once. 😍
Yup other than the chain smoking, drinking and 20 year cocaine habit, the perfect girl to bring home to your parents. She's definitely a cutie with lots of talent and charisma though for sure.
Such talent, no in ear monitors, raw sound and talent on stage along with a real band. We do not have this now in 2023. All these new singers have no shelf life like the 80s and 90s bands.
Oh to be a teenager in the 80’s again. We never knew how good we had it.
Oh, We definitely knew. That was part of the magic of The '80s...We knew it was a unique, remarkable, special time.
I know right!!
I had the time of my life!!
Yeah. Who knew there was a conspiracy to enslave every man, woman and child waiting for us in the future.
Oh how i wished i could go back . first car , girlfriend, kiss among other first.
Belinda is adorable in this. Her hair, her smile, her barefoot dancing.
she was in the germs
Yes. A goddess!
mullett band
She's in flatties.

In 1986 I was nineteen years old - wee bit of a crush on Belinda. I am now 55 years old - wee bit of a crush on Belinda.
She is a gorgeous woman as she ages. Especially sober.
I’m 57 and did to, still a beautiful woman.
Nice to see Charlotte Caffey on keyboard, with a big smile on her face.

Charlotte was the Go-Go's. Belinda was just the singer
On Piano 😮
@@hollowpoint45acp Basically same arrangement as Richards and Jagger
This was Belinda’s maximum cuteness period.
Aaaasrgh…
I liked her in that 2001 concert in Central Park. Everyone got makeovers except Charlotte Caffey. Great concert, unfortunately no Andy Taylor.
I am almost 50 years old but listening this music bring me back to the beautiful 80s...unforgetable
64, and only just found this tune...
65 y me gusta este tema. The GO GO
most under-appreciated singer in the history of rock-n-roll. one of a kind voice who really could sing live stage.
Such a strong and great sounding bottom register!
she is at peak cuteness here!
In the 80’s we were Head over Heals for Belinda.
2021 we still are!
So happy I got to be a teen in the 80’s! Best music era!

If you really know her then you know she is a prima Donna.
amazing memory!!!
Belinda Carlisle was interviewed several times by Howard Stern.
Andy Taylor (Duran Duran) on guitar! Glad I clicked on this one!
fun fact Andy Taylor played lead on her song Mad About You 😀
Girl rushes onto stage to hug Belinda, Belinda hugs her back! She's awesome.
Tomas Tinfoilhat if that happened now the entire concert would be shut down.
If it had been a man, she probably would still have hugged him as he got carried away in a vicious chokehold.
wish i was that girl !!!!!!

Andy Taylor! Even more 80s awesomeness!
Her voice was spectacular here.
Damn I love the way Charlotte smiles while performing she is so cute.
No matter what she wore. .....she made the outfit look even better.Love that she's barefoot'n it.....that my good friends is pure class.
One of those magic concerts that rarely get duplicated
Belinda looks too cute! Charlotte Caffey on piano, and Andy Taylor on guitar!
Those mullets...UGH!
And don’t forget Ricky Phillips (Styx, The Baby’s, Bad English) on bass and the late Pat Torpey (Mr. Big) on drums.

That girl just has a 5 alarm stage presence! Wow! Love to watch her go!
I love this song so much! No shoes on, no worries to show!
I never get tired of this or Our Lips are Sealed - Belinda is fantastic in this!!!
NOTHING like the 80's Best decade ever!! & This is a good example!

Haha "best decade ever" nah. 60's has it way way beat. But certainly better than the 70's.
Gorgeous! Still in love with Belinda and the Go Go's

She never had to over sing a song, just a nice voice straight up.
Belinda's gorgeous in this.
I agree, I've never seen Belinda looking more beautiful. Looks she was starting to lose some weight, and she seems to be having an absolute blast!
The 1980s: when music was very simple, very fun, very wonderful.
