hey!! so I've been wanting to do more original stuff for a while, and I saw more than a few comments from folks requesting that I flesh out my little segment from my distraction dance video into a full piece... so here you go! If blast beats and tremolo picking aren't your thing, fear not! I'll be back to my normal schedule next week - but I will be likely putting out more original stuff in the future (not all of it black metal either)
This piece is also mostly inspired by the Bloodborne and Dark Souls OSTs. I'm continually surprised by the positive reaction people have had to my covers from those games, I always find myself thinking "no one will like this. it's just stupid black metal and sweep picking"... and yet, they're always warmly received. I suppose since we're currently in a fromsoft content drought as we await news on Elden Ring or Bloodborne 2 or whatever else might be on the horizon, this might satiate the few of you who want more black metal style content from me.
I also like to think this is kind of a 2020-inspired theme - Take that how you will. The title is also meaningless. Some of you may be aware that it's the title of the first chapter of Attack on Titan, I always liked how it sounded. It's just an interesting phrase that stuck with me when I first heard it.

While it might not be particularly demanding on the guitarist, the kind of 'wall of sound' that black metal produces is not easily found anywhere else, especially if it's in good musical taste such as this.
It's just a shame that the drums are unnatural, because in the blast passages there is too much power on the snare and you can't hear the cymbals.

And by that- it sounds like a Final Boss theme for a game whose antagonist was someone who fell from dignity into madness, but yet regrets such and knows what they did and what happened is irreversible.

I doubt that it's going be a "final season". I think they are either going to release the season in two parts, each part having 20-25 episodes, or by releasing a 25 episode season and a movie that wraps the story up.

It's amazing to me how small recorded clips of perfectly normal things; leaves falling from a tree, waves crashing on a coast, if given the right filter(s) can become works of psychological nightmares. The editing of this video is extremely impressive in it's simplicity, and I love this video.

2000 years ago, due to what I know about my ancestry, my great-great-...-great-grandparents most likely lived in Jerusalem or basically anywhere else in the Roman province of Judaea.
I don't know why but for some reason the fact they lived in the holiest city in the world and exactly when Jesus did adds a very unique undertone to the song's title (and setting, tbh) for me. And I'm not even christian.
I don't know what I hate more, the fact that this doesn't have anywhere near as many views as it should, or the fact that everything switching to streaming means I can no longer buy these songs at 320kbps quality in mp3 format.
That aside, I've been listening to this through YT Music(I WANT GOOGLE PLAY BACK DANGIT!!!) and I could swear that this could fit as a final boss theme for a Final Fantasy boss or something.

I have been an avid fan since 2014. I often wondered if you were able to produce original content to the same exceptional quality as your covers. However, from hearing this I can say I believe your original work is exuberantly better than I could have hoped.
I think it would actually be awesome if somehow 2000 years from now stuff from this age is still remember and celebrated. Music, games, people, movies all of it, and someone, on this day 2000 years from now listens to this song and just thinks back on the stuff from this time that they love.
I'm reminded of a bunch of classic black metal and death metal bands in this track - in a really favorable way! Would absolutely love to hear more!

The music was great, but the video is what sold it. I typically find a lot of these types of edgy videos to be cringy, but this imagery goes way better with instrumentals than with lyrics. It did what a music video should do, which is add to the music! Well done! Looking forward to some more OG content!

Been a fan of your music for a while now, and I've not have the chance to see your original work. In light of this song, I'm going to go and take a look at it.
For some reason, the vibe I get from this song and the video accompanying it remind me of "Haunted" by Type O Neg. Same wall-of-guitar sound, but you can hear the song through it.
Granted, you don't sing, and you play at roughly 4x to 5x the tempo of TO-, but the similarity is there in my mind.
