- This song is represented a lot on You Tube and I have been a fan of Jim Steinman's work since Meatloaf's "Bat Out Of Hell". Like the video created for "Original Sin" (See "Vampires Are Hot"), I made this in part to showcase another magnificent song uncut and at its full length. So, with introductions by Ry Cooder and a hometown gentleman who is now a movie icon, here it is, all six minutes PLUS... "Darlin', darlin'!"

Couple times a year, when I feel the need to be in another time and another place, I watch Streets of Fire. Never disappoints.
Great movie. Super soundtrack. Great memories.
I absolutely love this movie.
It's 2024 and the final song still gives me goosebumps.
Best movie🎉🤩💥
I was 12 years old when I saw STREETS OF FIRE at the theater...I was in love with Ellen Aim from the first moment she came out on screen.
51 years old and still watch this movie every saturday night with my wife and kids!!
I’m 65, and I still watch it.
I'm 52 and I still love it. How gorgeous is Diane lane....
I watched that movie 32 years ago, I was 14 years old, and still I love it specially this song, a lot of remembrances from my younger years...very good job thanks for sharing👍👍
Stumble across this movie about 25 years ago up there with the greatest movies made it has everything storyline actor sets and the music just brings it all together I could watch it 100 times and never get sick of it
My husband and I name our middle son Cody from this movie and still love it after all these years.
That is actually… awesome!
In college in the early eighties. Loved the music and the stylings of this movie.
Great movie. Young up and coming actors, plus songs from the legendary Jim Steinman. RIP I knew right away this was Jim Steinman before reading the credits.
Nobody, and I mean nobody. Did it like Jim Steinman. You can pick out all the tropes, the chord progressions, the massive drum rolls, the chorus vocals, and everything else, but it doesn't make a damn of difference. He was the Verdi of Rock and Roll. And underneath it all were the lyrics. Revelling in paradox and contradiction, and in the process doing what real poetry does, and articulating feelings we can't put into words until someone does and we recognise them.
He was a music genius and helped make Meatloaf the great performer that he was!
As someone born in 1990 who grew up watching Eddie & the Cruisers, The Warriors, the Outsiders, and everything else... coming across this just last year having known nothing about was an absolute delight, and yes as a 30 year old who watched it for the first time... it still holds up, it has an amazing feel, a unique concept, cast, and execution.. and a solidified place both in the story of america, as well as my own.
🍻🤘🏼
One of my favorite songs of all time!
RIP Jim
I read a comment that "Streets of Fire" was one of the best movies no one saw.
Few knew what it was, beyond being "a rock and roll fable" and thought it was just a run of the mill action film. Some that saw it were confused because it's set in an imaginary utopia that combined the biker film and a rock musical with the western. Too bad.
@@SirSmoldhamI saw it in the movie theater and I loved it! As soon as I could buy it, I bought it. I never get tired of it and I watch it with everyone I can talk into watching it. They are all amazed that they’ve never heard of it before. I spread the wonder of this film whenever I can! ✌🏼💖🤘🏼
Uncut makes this song truly epic
When I saw this movie, I heard these songs and thought "this HAS GO TO BE STeinman's work" da ding!
Many thanks. I was heckled by the director when it came out during my interview with Harrison Ford. I met Walter Hill when he got involved with "Alien" and THIS film helped create the PG-13 rating. I love this unique movie.
awesome movie and soundtrack... 80s top 5 of movies and soundtrack without a doubt
It was great back in 1984 as a young man 1 year out of highschool and it is great as a retired (still young man 🙄) today!🥂
Same here, but I was a young lady, a year out of high school. I talked my dad into seeing this as a double feature with Star Trek 3. This was by FAR the better movie! Fine acting, great actors, amazing sets, and awesome music! I never understood why this movie wasn’t more popular!! And yeah, I’m still young at heart and probably will be for the rest of my life! ✌🏼💖🤘🏼
THANK YOU! Finally... full song.
Thank YOU! I always wanted to do this because I love Steinman's music so much.

La mejor de la vieja guardia
One of my top 5 songs to be stuck on an island with.
just discovered that Jim Steinman wrote an alternate version from Nowhere Fast for Meat Loaf 😅 was weird cause i listened to the two songs one after the other and had to compare the lyrics. Both songs was written and performed in 1984 .. yeah, now i'm at point 😅 great songs, both!
Thank you from a Jim Steinman fan ;)
As a young boy loving this movie, Diane Lane was my first crush. She was gorgeous.
She still is! If I could look like anyone else, I’d want to look like her! She’s an amazing actress and an intelligent and classy lady.
Thank you for making this video! I love this movie and the entire soundtrack!! ✌🏼💖🤘🏼
A hit waiting to happen
That music made us feel!

Aí sim é música de verdade
Nice..nice
Quase 20 anos pra achar essa música..m
Diane lane sure looks a lot like Amanda "Mandy" Moore in this (Mandy Moore born in 1984, when this movie was released)
Also Deborah Van Valkenburgh who was Reeva in this looks a lot like actress Penny Peyser who was in a 1982 mini series called the blue and the grey. She was Emma geyser.
The intro chords are exactly the same as Everything Louder Than Everything Else :p
Diane Lane was your first crush? Damn good choice 😅!
Nice 💖
令和5年の夏も、最高な、ソング🎵
the video game Final Fight is heavily based on this wonderfull movie
Awesome.

Cut the 2nd part off intro and 50% off the end, this will be perfect. About 4:30min.

this movie would have been greater if not for the lead actor, the guy was a wood block acting
