- One dimensional dynamical systems don't only need to be posed on the line. To capture simple oscillatory or periodic phenomena we can pose them on the circle. In this video lecture we introduce the basics of flows on the circle through illustrative examples. We discuss uniform and nonuniform oscillators, while also exploring familiar concepts such as fixed points and bifurcations.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for this great video series - got hooked on nonlinear dynamical systems now!
But You made a small mistake:
Uniform Oscillator: Period=2Pi/(w1-w2)=1/(1/T1-1/T2)=T1T2/(T2-T1)
Thanks for the catch!
Are you Ed Snowden?
yes
Which book would you recommend , very nice video
In the intro video I mention Strogatz's book
