I love my loudness too so yes loudness is good for lower volume yet if you still want that punchyness with lower volumes that is what loudness is for everybody else they can shove their own beliefs and religions up back where it once came from, i love vintage looks and designs.

Hi Andrew, Onkyo was great on detail, specially on vocals and jazz instrumentals. Nice review you have there! Keep up.

Hey Andrew, glad to see you back! We are alike when it comes to loudness :) Those speakers in the background look like Pioneers? I have the same or close to the same set myself if those are Pioneers. Onkyo is supposed to be pretty good stuff. Looks like a high quality amp.

Thanks for your reply on the video. I was not able and not in the mood to do anything the last 4 months. Don't ask me why because I sometimes have those periods. But the good news is that there are many videos coming up soon. I only have to edit them. If I stay feeling good enough I will make them fast because any time I could have a new period I don't want to do anything. The speakers I used are JBL ti600. They are not bad, they sound better then the monitor audio rs6 speakers I had which cost between 400 and 500 euro second hand. but my new magnats zero 7 blew them away. But it´s also a price difference, the magnats cost second hand 300 euro and the jbl´s 100 euro. The only problem I have with the zero 7 is that I can´t play normal volume I was used to play on my zero 5. THis is because of the heavy bass. I will make enemies when I will put them on normal levels. . I live in a apartment. I love loudness because when I play music in the middle of the night i can still enjoy music when I play it very soft with loudness on. The new zero 7 don´t need loudness at all, in fact when i play a bit louder i take away 1 stripe of bass, these speakers go 25HZ!!!! My old zero 5 go till 30 HZ.

i agree.people don't undertand.. my theory is: play flat using loudness if you want to until normal vol. level, to reach the high vol. level dynamic pounch. somehow the sound becomes more live.. both speakers and amps needs to play loud for reach the limits, and you be able to do that at low-normal levels, safe without distortion.

+MrWolf Analogue Since i play over my magnat zero 7 i don't use loudness anymore. These speakers go very low and the highs from magnats where always the best

is a matter of good speakers with clean source, and your beautifull speakers will do the job at least 60% of the set up. i don't use loudness mean either.

How are the highs on this amp? Do we need to use the treble dial? I like slightly sharp highs and pronounced mids. Do you think its worth getting this? Great review!

Nice review. Thumbs up. But shouldn't you get yourself a steady-cam or even a (genuine) fluid-head tripod? The camera is all over the place.
