Thanks for doing this! I too am not particularly married to any one type of pen for my planners and journals, so it’s not going to affect me either way, but there are many people whose content I enjoy watching who make such pretty pages with lovely inks, and it’s sad to think how much that might have to change if the paper so many use is now unreliable. It must be a cost thing, the original Tomoe River company closing and the new one making inferior paper. I don’t know why the original company closed down, but maybe it was unsustainable to make such quality paper without being able to charge insanely high prices.
My fondness for the paper is entirely due its thinness. It’s so nice to be able to have a year’s worth of pages in something that weighs a fraction of an Erin Condren or a Happy Planner, and takes up much less space. Plus I love the crinkliness, that lovely feel and sound of the paper once it’s been written on.

@@AuntieAlexandra Yes I agree with all of this. I really wonder what people will do or if they will find work-arounds. It’s so nice to have so many pages in one book and at first I didn’t understand the appeal but have totally fallen in love with it too. 🥰

Thank you for this. That ghosting is terrible.

In the sterling Inc. they are definitely coming through stronger for the 2025. Darn.

Yes, I was editing and saw it more clearly so I had to include a note. It's interesting to see it in person and then on the screen and it's slightly different, but I am also still recovering so my brain is fuzzy.
