I hope this video can help fix the issues I had with mine for everyone else Be careful when cutting and I take no responsibility 👌🏼 I just used my pocket knife for all the cuts but the last one 😅
Thats how we be satisfied with what we got😂. I see other stupid youtubers comparing the new GO with steam deck, saying, this device Dpad is not as comfortable as Deck. The heck, how will a new design be comfortable on the first day😂😂😂😂.
it's a bit annoying and should not be a thing at that price. On the other hand, for the nintendo switch you needed some tape too to protect the switch from scratches while docking
This is the kind of content thats missing from youtube noow a days. Original stuff. Not just regurgitating the same thing the previous person said. Good on you man
love that business with the case! I might get a small form 65w brick tucked into a crown royal sack for that area where you have your charger. Easier to take it out and put back in while still protecting the screen when closed.
I think the reason the case is so small is two possibilities. First they want this to be portable and the intention is you charge and then go out. Instead of carrying the charger you come back to charge. The second possibility is they figure if your taking it on the go youll more then likely putting it in a backpack or bag of some kind. Youll have places to put the cords.
thats still wasted space for your backpack. I honestly wish jsaux or some other company can come up with a slap on case like the ones for steam deck that cover the screen and lock the joysticks in place so i dont have to use the original case in the first palce
In name of the whole brazilians, I can definitely say that you have the brazilian spirit and mindset doing the things, haha. Doesn't matter the way, the important is fix the issues.
I heard some guys were adjusting a screw to tighten up their controllers? My go arrives this week so fingers crossed I don’t have this issue but if I do I have tape ready 👍 And nice one hacking up your case.. they should have moulded the case to hold the accessories to begin with tbh..
Really adjusting the screws 🤔 if the tape ever fails I'll definitely have a look into that And yep they really dropped the ball on the case not carrying stuff Still happy it had a case included tho 😅
If a Legion go 2 comes out, hopefully these problems are addressed. These gaming handheld cases have the same lack of space issues. Haha was very entertaining, I need to do that case mod. The controller wobble fix, I'll try very soon too.
The only downside to this case mod is that the console can be damaged more easily if you squish the case or drop it. The top part of the case is designed to flex while being rigid. This explains why this hole in center doesn't cover the screen fully. EDIT: In case controller dies after drop, new ones are around 60$ in US on Lenovo site. Not big of a deal if hidden charger destroys one of controllers.
The tape tightened everything up but the legion buttons didn't function. They wouldn't pull up legion space or the settings. Tested several different ways and as soon as i removed the tape it started working
Really 🤔 I wonder if your pins are recessed to much I never even thought about the clearance causing an issue 😅 do your pins stuck out the same distance on both controllers?
Yer when I first noticed the wobble then say it was a small rubber pad that gives it stability I figured it's probably going to get worse with time I hope it's like a few years or so and not like every 2 months 🤣
it solved it for me too, the left one wobbles very little and wasn't convenient, while the right one wobbled a little with the black tape it no longer wobbles, how long does the battery last for you? for me with metro exodus 800p medium details tdp balanced lasts 1:30 hours
Honestly I don't know if it would I use the Australian plug and I had to trim the sides a bit it also came with your plugs adapter and boy is it large 😅
If your in us you will be sweet but the AU plug I had to anglegrind the corners off then use glue to seal them so it fit 😅 It's from Ali express Brand called asometech and it's a 100w
Defective? Everything works perfectly now I saw one guy returned his like twice before he got a good one Mine took ages in shipping and it's working perfectly 👌🏼 I couldn't even imagine 2 days without it now 😅
The tape part totally lost me on buying this instead of the OLED deck, that's insane to have to tape a device as expensive as this just to make it sturdy.
I think it's a rare but still a thing But If I could go back I would do the same Being able to connect it to my projector and just use the controller as a remote is awesome for movies Or use both when playing games and not need to bring an box controller or something Priceless 👌🏼
Is there space to cut-out and slide in one of those small foldable bluetooth keyboardsata the top? If so, the legion go is a no-brainer purchase for me Thanks for the awesome vid man, I can't find anyone else on youtube with a vid like this. I'll be your subscriber senpai
The tape mod works great, I did that to mine too! (also used electrical tape, but I put it on the controller end instead) I suspected the case could be cut to get more storage, thanks for showing us the way!
I have had if for over a month now and never thought about it since It's still holding up perfectly the controllers don't slide as much as the switch ones do so there's less ware👍
Everything has its flaws I'm just glad the go's was a super easy fix and if the controls get looser over the year ad a tiny bit more tape and back to day 1 firmness I wish I could have done that on my switch
@@The-Stranga absolutely great to hear that you are fine with such a easy tape-fix...I personally just thinks its a "No-Go" (joke there 😀) adding tape to a brand new 799 Euros device. For this price it should be absolutely flawless, at least Hardware wise.
@@chinodigitalbath yer I get where your coming from but I feel like if you look hard enough there is problems with so much new stuff Sometimes I feel like they just make there idea a reality and don't even use it just sell it 🤣
@@StyleWearMarv yer 100% but it is nice how everything has its place and fits perfectly It's like getting a gun and having all the cut outs for the Mag and such it all fits perfectly 👌🏼
A laptop will take up less volume considering the large case of the go, and especially the fact that you cannot pack charger inside without cutting up the case. Look at steams new case...
Define "portable" well it depends on what to compare A huge desktop replacement laptop can somehow be "portable" to some user But I like this guy , those workarounds really work
I can chuch the case In my sling bag and skate to a mates if that's not portable I don't know what is I personally don't want to have to carry more than one bag when I can carry everything it need with it
This man get it instead of complaining he just fixed the issues in 10 mins. 😂😂

Ahah I also did that on my switch dock too 😅
There is so many things that are far from perfect
If everything was perfect life would be boring 🤣
@@megakoni1 and when you say that price do you mean a fraction of a real computer?

Damn, so much wasted space in the case, props to you for being brave enough to cut into it! I know I couldnt.
I figured if it didn't work I would by a better case anyway
And if I went to sell it would sell better with a aftermarket case anyway 😅
Your tape trick fixed my wobble. Thanks!
This is the best and most useful legion go video like ever. Straight to the point thank you.
love that business with the case! I might get a small form 65w brick tucked into a crown royal sack for that area where you have your charger. Easier to take it out and put back in while still protecting the screen when closed.
Great video, I love your energy! Good ideas with the case adjustments!
just wantyou to know this changed my life legion go wise, never even considered a 100w car charger but its gonna change the game 😭😭
I live in my caravan so car chargers are the way to go for me

Thank you so much for the tape trick! I was literally about to take it back because of the dreaded wobble

The controller wobble fix, I'll try very soon too.
It would be cool to have a big bump in profomence and battery life too 😊
Thanks for the great video dude! Awesome and helpful tips for modification!
Hey mate,
The hardware can handle Fxsound
Try it out
Hey man, what is the brand/model of that little usb-c dock you are using, and the charger brand/model too? Cheers 🍻
Both from Ali express and called asometech
Pissed me off too! Thankyou I'll do this!

Nice case mod, would have been neat if the case already came that way.
100%
You are ACE man! Gonna go try this now.
Was excited to buy this thing but looks like I'll wait for a revision

Props on the ingenuity on making the case work for you but this seems more like a mod you do once the return period is over instead of on day one
Lenovo low key trying to make sure we can't return it
I'm always happy to cover the cost of a new case if they care about that
I'm not the (keep my dirt bike clean for resale) sort guy 😅
Hey mate, loved your video! Would you mind putting up some links to chargers and cables you bought?
Aliexpress charger brand called asometech
Best video about legion go hacks so far 👏👏👏
I think that wobble will happen eventually. Mine was solid but after 3 weeks it became slightly loose.
Yer when I first noticed the wobble then say it was a small rubber pad that gives it stability

Sounds about right for me to I usaly have I plugged in when playing as I have ports all over the place 😅
Tape fix worked perfectly thank you
Mine came today and Thank god my came without issues
HI i wonder if a 3 pin UK plug would fit in the case with a mod, Our plugs don't fold Unfortunately ? thanks
Honestly I don't know if it would
I use the Australian plug and I had to trim the sides a bit it also came with your plugs adapter and boy is it large 😅
Did you just use electrical tape
Yep 👍
Fantastic video.
Mine (and most units) are like the "after"....this is a defect. You should return it and get one that is correct.
DUDE! What is that charger? I can't fine one that slim that doesnt have a round plug piece. Cheers
If your in us you will be sweet but the AU plug I had to anglegrind the corners off then use glue to seal them so it fit 😅

@@The-Strangaah shit. Nah mate I'm a Kiwi, we have the same gimpy plugs as you. Which is why I was excited to see the narrow plug. Cheers.
Our plugs are too bad 🤣 and 240v is where it's at
Just trim the edges
Or you can just bend the us plugs abit Nd usaly fit them fine
If you have a wobbly controller than what you should do is return it and get a non-defective unit.

Mine came with wiggle brand new out the box
I’ve emailed Lenovo and they’re sending me out replacement controllers
Lucky 👍
They wanted me to send mine back but I use it every day and the tape fixed it so meh 😅
The wobble fix is the same for the Nintendo Switch
No it's not
What tape is that? can you provide a link?
Its just what ever was the cheapest at the hardware store 😅
Women will now be buying this case to replace their pocketbooks! 😳
