Buddhist prosperity theology? YIKES. As if believing in reincarnation weren't already bad enough.
As if absence of light were too bright, as if a vacuum were too full........
I did actually hear of buddhist monks in an east Asian country who performed fake exorcisms in rich people's homes for a hefty fee.
Jesus said, 'Not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.'

Maybe the fellow was being sarcastic. Btw I have heard of buddhist monks who performed fake exorcisms in rich people's houses for a hefty fee. Of course they have no idea how to cast out demonic spirits, since they are in league with them.
Then there were the monks in Mongolia who used to roam the countryside spreading VD.
I also heard of Japanese monks who helped their elderly exit this world early, because caring for them was considered too burdensome.
This cultural practice was confirmed in a Japanese film drama which I myself saw. A man was entrusted by his community with putting his own elderly mother out on the wilderness to die, when she was still quite healthy. The final scene of the movie showed a steam locomotive, signifying that such things were done in the modern era.
God's Law given through Moses has Ten Commandments, with which Japanese people ought to become more familiar. These include 'DO NOT MURDER' and 'DO NOT STEAL.'
Worship of IDOLS is also prohibited.
There was a well-known Brazilian composer named Villa-Lobos.
      Just an observation.
You really should abandon this religious adventure; it can only result in harm to you.
(Romans 5:8) 'For God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.'
In Hebrews 9:22 it says that 'without shedding of blood their is no remission of sin.' CHRIST has done what NO RELIGION CAN DO.

I’ve watched this entire talk 3 times in the past 24 hours.
I’ve been chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyu for about 3 weeks and am pleasantly surprised.
Also - Hancock speaks in free-jazz. He has tied so many things together that have no relationship to each other whatsoever. And then at the end you’re like “Ok that makes sense.”
    This guy is awesome.

He is a great musician, but has chosen the wrong spiritual path.
May God have mercy on him.
JESUS, the spotless Lamb of God, died for the sins of the world and rose from the dead in victory. Will you not show Him any gratitude or reverence?
(Romans 5:8) 'For God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.'
It does not matter how many imaginary reincarnations you pass through, nor how
many repetitions of a mantra you perform with your mind idling. You will not be at peace. GOD determines the conditions of human salvation; human philosophers do not.
(Romans 1:22) 'Professing to be wise, they became fools.'
      Jesus said:
(Matthew 6:7-8) 'And when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.
So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.'

He needs encouragement to seek the Truth himself. So do you.
      Jesus said,
'I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.'
And He proved it by His every action. Not to investigate would be doing yourself an EXTREME disservice.

I've heard a few of Mr. Hancock's outstanding piano recordings, probably from the late 1970s and 1980s. I'm so saddened that he got sidetracked in this way.
(1st Timothy 2:4-5) '[God] desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.'

Since God was able to create an entire universe that we can't even fully comprehend perhaps God is also capable of spiritually communicating with Mr. Hancock in his own desired way. I am saddened that you have elevated yourself to such a high and mighty status that you have the conceit to speak for God and to judge others based on your limited knowledge and myopic views.
