gotta say Vic, i LOVE your "fix it" vids! it's obvious you aren't a pro mechanic, so they demonstrate we mere mortals CAN do the less surgical repairs, even with cheap tools, without a clean shop, etc. though i'd also say when working on air parts, take the 10 minutes to get everything clean before you pull lines. a tiny blob of that grit can jam a valve, and make you buy yet another valve, etc.
first of all, put a jackstand under the frame so the truck wont sit down on you when the air bags deflate. second- push loc fittings, you must take the air pressure off (pump the brakes till air bled off)., slide a slip joint pliers loosely over the line, push the line towards the fitting, push the collar towards the fitting, then pull the plastic line out. on the rear axel there is a bracket above the spring u bolts. measure 2 1/2" from the spring u bolt saddle to the bracket will get you in the ballpark for ride height.
I ones asked those part sales players when they gona start selling those leveling valves made from all metal! They laugh at me and said never, we have to make money out of yall suckers!
Do you know how to adjust highs of this level valve because I have those two bolts what holding valve I can put higher and lower. And I bought it gabriel shucks 50,000 and done 👎no good anymore . Do you know which best one should I put?
It's normal if middle airbags 12.5"inch. then back airbags 14.5"inch? Bobtail. Or how much suppose to be and after I put new one how to adjust it heights? Thanks
Are you saying I can adjust my ride height on a working valve by loosening that main nut, adjust the bar, then tight it back up? To much air in my bags I feel tooooo stiff
@@3tree3 you have to find out what is factory spec level height and adjust it to that height. Or else drive shafts will be out of alignment and cause wear in the differential gears.
@@sswcubes yea, I'm going to try and check. because all other suspension components from Shocks to motor/trans mounts, cab Shocks/bags is new but still stiff. My test for to much air is it works great when I drop the bags right before a big bump or crack.
Hi I’m thinking replacing my level valve I hear whistle sounds while going some hills I thought turbo sound but my macanic said replace this and see so trying saving labor $150 how do you level? What did you use to measure , please respond ASAP. Waiting u.
i doubt thats its your leveling valve,it sounds like you have a bad air bag, thats why the leveling valve is going off, leveling valve is trying to puch your bags some air, good luck
Spray air springs with Windex or soapy water. Spray valves and fittings. Rust-jacketing occurs between frame rail and top of air spring sometimes leaking there. When replacing air springs , spread weatherproof chalking where frame rail meets air spring ,better than silicone. Pipe dope better on plastic valves than Teflon. Teflon tape is slippery causing over-tightening of fitting breaking valve.
an other thing i replaced the level valve but when i weight on it blow too much air it does shut off it that normal i bought after market it from kenworth to go on a freightliner
You guys really really need to stop putting videos on you going to do this changing the part explain the main. Every r&r level of valve video I have watched no one explains where and which line is the supply airline to the valve.

Thanks bro

very good !! thank you....
ROBERTO PESSANHA thanks for tunning in.
Does the truck have to be running with the brake release in order to make the adjustment to the bag ?
no,everuthing can be off, dont release no breaks, thanks for tunning in
Can be leveling valve problem if truck jumps every like 5 seconds on over 60 speed ?
Andrey Gubenya check steer tire.same problem.go shop check wheel balance.tire thread up down.
cool nice to know.
Do you have the part number?
Part number for the leveler
you did that.
Hi Vic I have a freightliner Columbia 2007 how do you know the height ..i seen some videos where they measure like 16 in.
The main thing was too adjusted edits recommended height that's what we want to know
But how we adjust high level?
So the nut on the arm behind the valve is what needs to be tightened to maintain the level desired?

Hey Vic, I noticed that my rear bags are more inflated than the front once any idea why or is that the way it spouse to be
I have same problem on my freightliner century n can't no one tell me why
this is absolutely normal, thatch how it is supposed to be, nottin to worry about!
i have a problem with my truck i lose air only when its running when i stop its ok
Uriel Salvidrez choke your wheels than release the breaks.go around the truck and listen to where the leak is.
an other thing i replaced the level valve but when i weight on it blow too much air it does shut off it that normal i bought after market it from kenworth to go on a freightliner
Uriel Salvidrez. how do you adjust the height.
How much that valve cost you?
Not much
I'm trying to get a axial turbine to buy no any place in CA
