Picked up a Kamado Joe Classic III about a week ago with a Ikkamand and cover for $850, perfect shape. He offered to assist with any warranty issues, may not ever work out but that is a nice addition. Worth the risk for me.
Kamado Joe seems to be pretty good about standing behind their products. A few months ago a buddy of mine bought a display model from lowes that was missing the top vent and some other part (I forget which), for 250 bucks, and when he reached out to them about buying the missing parts they sent them to him for free. So a brand new classic I for 250 bucks.
I jumped into kamado cooking last September with a Vision B for $200. spent 1 afternoon cleaning and scrubbin, got a felt gasket and woo ring from CGS (20 minutes up the road) and ben watching your channel since. Thanks for all the info especially on how you setup your cooks and what goes wrong. no one else sems to do that and that's when i learn the most.
I think I am one of the last few people got a KJ classic 2 in black instead of red (bought on 1st of Feb 2020) . My first crack happened to the half moon heat deflector. Lucky with the warranty, I eventually got my heat deflector replaced as well as a free pizza stone. I think it is a good idea to check out local stores for promotions, as I picked up mine at AU$1399 (CA$1290 or US$1026) where the original price is AU$2199.
I was ready to pull the trigger on a used Big Joe I for $800 USD with extension racks and iKamand. This video and the warranty info just saved me hundreds of dollars. The seller had no idea the warranty did not transfer. Thank you!
I had knocked the latch off of my KJ Classic II (don't ask), and I contacted KJ about ordering a replacement, and they sent it direct to my house immediately, no questions, no photos; just great customer service. :)
I bought a 9 year old Primo for $250 that had no accessories to accompany my BGE XL. Spent approximately $500 at CGS for Kick Ash basket, ash can, two ceramic deflectors, cradle and SS grate. First cook was simple smoked chicken and the fire box broke in two places. I called Primo and they sent me a warranty replacement, I did however pay $94 for shipping. Fingers crossed for the future.
I managed to find a medium for 60 bucks here in Ottawa just two months ago. Probably spent 200 bucks fixing it up and its been working like a charm. One day i'll spring for a new one!
After 20 years of owning my Grill Dome, we were ready for a Kamado Joe. I sold my old kamado for $150. I replaced all ceramic internal components (fire box and rings) a year ago, so they were in great condition. It was also upgraded with a Kick Ash can and basket. It had a cart too. Only thing needed was a new gasket, but we have been using it without a gasket for years.
I’m gonna say, Kamado joe only asked for a pic of my grill for my warranty claims. I am original owner but that’s all they asked for- no receipt no serial
Really great video topic. I just wanted to share my story to add some support to your opinion. I bought a used big green egg with some accessories for $800 CAD. It was my first kamado and first charcoal BBQ. I knew very little about them. Firebox was cracked, metal ring was worn out, but it had a bran new gasket. Trying to adjust the metal ring was a constant fight, and I noticed after only 3 months of use that the base was cracked. Very disheartened, I contacted big green egg and they told me that buying a replacement ceramic part DOES in fact have lifetime warranty on the ceramics. However, a base, firebox, and new metal clasp was essentially two thirds the cost of a brand new egg, and I still wouldn't have any side shelves to go with it. And the dome and ring would still be old. So that's when I decided to bite the bullet and fork out the extra money for a Kamado Joe Classic 3. Very expensive. I sold my egg for $700 and was 100 percent clear with the seller about the situation and crack. With the accories I bought, plus the price difference, the egg put me at about a $300 loss. As for the joe, I have been EXTREMELY happy with it. Every upgrade the classic 3 came with has made me very happy. From the multi piece firebox, the charcoal basket, the aluminum shelves, the airlift hinge, the oven gasket, the upgraded stand that holds the slo-roller, the divide and conquer 3 level system, the half moon deflector plates, to the aluminum daisy wheel that holds it place. It gives me the same feeling as when I went from a 2002 vehicle to a 2014 vehicle. It is light years ahead that makes everything about it such a pleasure to cook with. After spending all that money, I was going to hold off on accessories for at least a year. However, I found myself adding the soapstone, joetisserie, Jr brining bucket, smokeware drip pan. Many of which were on sale. Plus, part of me is really eyeing a joe junior for the weekday warrior aspect. I blame you for that, James! But how can I be mad when the plethora of information you share with us has upped my BBQ game so much.
I totally agree with your assessment here. My perspective is to resist the temptation to go cheap on any product that can serve you for at least a decade. That being said, I would also expect to spend more money than just the price of the grill. Even though kamado joe has one of the most inclusive packages your simply going to want/need more of something to maximize your experience and that’s going to cost money.
bought a used Vision and stand for $400 ealier this year froma guy who was moving. I just was not prepared to dive in full on a Big Joe. I am currently saving for a new kamado but plan to experiment this Vision into the ground first! So far, so good. Thanks for the education!
Sounds like some bad luck. My. Iffy has had his LBGE for over 10 years and I have had mine about 9 yrs. none of these cracks have ever happened. My hinge is the only item I have replaced. My mini Max I have had for 2.5 years and no issues. Only problem with BGE is lack of accessories when bought. Big Red gives you more bang for your buck.
it’s by no means a certainty. in my area used ones are seeking for near the same cost of a new one (both brands) so it’s not a don’t buy used but buy cheap enough to give yourself buffer should something happen. climate, frequency of use, types of heat cycles can all play a factor in experiencing a potential issue
The warranty is the reason to not over pay for a used one. I went through two bases in my green egg in 10 years. After the second one cracked, we were able to determine that the egg nest it sat in was putting pressure on the base, causing the crack… It took years for each one to develop…(about 4…) At any rate, when I sold it, I finally replaced the firebox (cracked, but usable) and let the purchaser know they would have to pay for parts if they failed… and they would over time… guaranteed…
You had me worried when I first started watching this. In the end I did OK buying 2 L Eggs used. One was never used and neither had any damage. $1100 for both and together they had more than $800 in accessories. My gasket is flat but not leaking yet. I spent another $400 on more BBQ stuff and eggcessories. I did tell my son if we were to do it over again we would go Joe. There is the issue of no Joes here locally and lots of Eggcessories at Ace. It makes a difference when the local store has lots in stock to look at.
Hi Jame, Greetings to the north! I have my first 2 Kamado Joe grills coming today, mostly because of your great videos. Also ordered a Smoke Ware ash basket, drip pan, and grill raiser on order. My only question is, where did you get your soap stone for the Kamado Joe Jr. and what size is it? I'm not having any luck finding one that will fit. Thanks, James in Louisiana P.S. Great Channel
I found a kamado for free, the whole top of the body was broken I cemented everything back together with refractory cement. I keep temps low, still works good for low and slow.
Good info. Wish I'd seen it a week ago. I bought a used joe Wednesday lol. It's ok though. It's in good shape. The only issue is the little crack in the stand. It's a classic 1 but has the upgraded fire box. I'll just pony up and replace that and be good. I did get a fair deal with lots of accessories. He wanted to switch to traeger.
Good one James! I did have my support ring crack on my BJII. They did send me a new one, but it was the wrong size, I still need to get that straightened out. I like you idea of going through a dealer, probably will make this easier! Cheers!
My BigJoe 3 has developed an “overbite.” Before I dive in and try to use logic to correct the issue, is there a suggested order of operations to adjust the fit? Thanks so much for the excellent info and videos. My first brisket is on the grill as I type. 🤞
I have the same issue with my KJ3 and it requires two hands to latch the lid. KJ was not helpful sad to say. They referred me to a video on line that did not solve the issue. Very disappointed with my purchase.
@@RobBeaglesRock I hope James might have some suggestions. If not, I am going to loosen everything related to the hinge, reposition the upper lid, and tighten it all back in an order that seems logical to me. I love my KamadoJoe and it didn’t have this issue when I got it so I figure it must be “fixable.” Disappointed that KJ was of no assistance to you.
oh no. there are adjustment points on the latch top and bottom pieces for left and right movement and the top piece of the latch has a hex screw that can move the assembly up and down. most alignment issues can be solved with these adjustments … but if not we have to go nuclear (no big deal, but felt like saying that lol) so if those don’t work you need to lock your airlift hinge using the tool that came with the grill. then you can loosen the bands and align the dome. I find it helpful to have some help pushing down on the dome while you retighten the bands to prevent the tightening from pulling it back out of position. it also helps to over shoot the alignment so that if it does move will tightening it lands centred
@@SmokingDadBBQ Thank you! I will give it a try. Love my KJ grills and use them several times a week. By the way, my first brisket (hot and fast) came out excellent!
I bought a Big Joe Version 1 I felt like the price of the other 2 were a little too high for me and they were going to take a while to get the other 2. I ordered it from lowes it was at my house in 2 days. So far it has been amazing. I wish the lid wasn't so heavy hut for the piece I can't complain.
Very useful to go over the failure points and warranty coverage as I just noticed a crack in my KJ fire box base that looks identical to the one in your photo (6-month old classic 2, so a little surprised). Will be submitting a warranty claim! Plan to continue using the grill in the meantime ... hope that is safe.
Love your channel and videos. Pulled the trigger on a Kettle Joe after watching your brisket and ribs videos. I'd love to see you do a video on how you use different tools and accessories on the Kettle Joe since it is 22" instead of 18"/24" like the Classic and Big Joe. Keep posting :D
Not meant to be an advert at all but have you guys considered Broil King Keg? Same thing, less expensive, less weight, almost indestructible. Not trolling, just wanted to suggest in case some aren't aware.
its a good call out, i have used two of them at different friends. they are a really great budget option.... if anything they are too efficient for clean burning smoke as they use less fuel than either the egg or the joe. amazing how they can go nearly all day with just a few pieces of coal
Logic applies to a lot of products. I used Weber 5 year grate warranty at 4 years 10 months. I had a little rust on the inside hood and they replaced the entire hood (10 year warranty). I will also add, most people selling used are too dumb to file a warranty and are selling you their problem...
Note even thinking of buying used, but watching anyway lol. I'm just starting to feel constrained by the limited space of even a large kamado. Compared to even a backyard-sized offset - much less an actual large sized offset - I'm just lacking in so much space. Not that I really NEED it most of the time... but when I do it's a tad annoying to have to fire up two grills at one time for the space.
Great video as always James, but possibly 2 weeks too late! 😂. I do need some help. I did get a good deal on a large BGE for $175. There were several parts missing that I replaced. My total investment is $350. I can’t seem to get the lid and base aligned. Can you help with that? They had installed the hinge upside down so I flipped it over. The grill is probably 10 years old. I appreciate all you do!
@@SmokingDadBBQ was told that by three different dealers in my area I wanted to be sure before I purchased a fire bowl for my large egg. Purchased it off a close friend for 200 bucks.
as a general rule I don’t have one and don’t like to comment on products I don’t have / own … when I did my research on them they at the time didn’t have as many accessories and I had read some reports of large temp variances in the oval shape
Am I hallucinating again, or does it look like Smoking Dad has upgraded his digs? Has his TH-cam bounty afforded him a pool, a properly covered shooting area, and maybe a Canadian city that doesn't have rain 325 days a year? Still digging the dad shirt (although no red checks) and the pocket protector, hopefully protecting an instant meat thermometer! It's fuzzy...so is it a pocket protector microphone?
hahah i wish it was a pocket protector but its a mic. Yes spending the next few years of youtube money to re-work the deck so that we can have a covered shelter from the rain that was always getting me. this is the result - th-cam.com/video/Nlp--5o_xW8/w-d-xo.html
Good video and comments about KJ in general. It's still surprising to me that BGE hasn't stepped up their game a bit. KJ has been eating (hah) at their market for a long time.
Hi James, Enjoy watching your videos, thanks for posting them! I’m currently in the market for a Kamado Joe. Where I live there is a big price difference between the models (I’m looking at a large - the Classic 1 is less than half price of the Classic 3, the Classic 2 is a halfway point). Should I stick with the 1 and maybe use the spare cash to get a ikamand or other accessories? Or go full on and get the 3? It seems like the slow roller, clasp and vent are the main differences, but there’s a big price difference in them to go for the 3 over the 1. So not sure whether they are worth the cost for me. Thank you!
thanks so much. the biggest difference is how much better the series 3 is for long slow cooks. if you do briskets often the series 3 makes sense, if its a once a year cook the series 1 is a fantastic grill and can manage a good cook just fine
@@SmokingDadBBQ thanks for the quick reply James! I currently tend to do ribs and pulled pork mainly. I have a cheap offset currently, ready for the scrap heap, so trying a brisket on it is too painful. But I was hoping to be able to work briskets with the Kamado, so it sounds like I should take the plunge with a 3.
Great tips James!! But one question, how do remove the gunk and clean the top vent (I have the one that comes with Classic 2. I tried few things , but poor result and the paint is now damaged..Thanks
bummer... sadly no way to repair paint. you can try your luck at a warranty replacement. I wipe (gently) when its hot to extend the time. otherwise i clean gently with a bio friendly degreaser like simply green when i do my dome every 6 months
I recently switched from a classic 2 to a BJ3. One issue I’m having is that when I used your “pizza” method with the deflector plates I never had an issue getting to smoking temps and holding. Using the sloroller however I haven’t had any luck. I let the temp come up to 100 above the final temp, then close down the top and bottom and put top of the sloroller in, the temp drops 150-200 below and I have to then slowly build the temp back up. Any advice? Thanks!
is the ceramic hot to the touch when you do this (install the top portion) or is it a rouge flame making the gauge read hot and the ceramic is cool to the touch?
@@SmokingDadBBQ the ceramic is hot to the touch, but possibly it’s not “hot” enough to the touch. Do you find that the vent settings you used on your classic are the same for the BJ?
Have you ever used a steel akorn wondering how different they operate i have had one for 3 years and love it just wish it was a little higher build quality but for 300 dollars new its hard to beat to get into a kamado style grill
they operate the same but they can hold heat even better which makes cooking them down and or getting clean smoke for a smoke ring a little tricky otherwise if you’re ok with a few cost savings measures they are a great grill to fall in love with charcoal cooking
Wait till next year. Everyone will be selling all the expensive grills (and other stuff) they invested in last year and this year to survive the pandemic with no restaurants and travel. But with that coming back, folks will start to sell everything off when they return to "real life"
@@SmokingDadBBQ Thanks. I have a cheap miniture kamado (±10" grid diameter). The firebox cracked vertically in one place. The gap at that point spreads when the grill is used to about 1mm. I'm in the market for a Junior as it is on special offer on Amazon for 449€ (±100€ less than at a reseller).
That fire ring in the bottom has cracked twice for me first one was replaced instant still waiting for KJ to respond to the second cracking, that is the only issue I have had with it. I do wonder why it happens.
i have a Neighbor with a timberline 850 that’s rusted out twice. they replaced it the first time but won’t the second time while it’s still under its 5 year warranty. not a bed of roses there either as controllers, fans, rust etc can add up too
all the leading brands support the original grill owner for as long as they keep the product which is beyond the 3-5 year warranties on most metal grills. otherwise you would have generational warranty from passing down to kids to their kids to their kids etc and I am sure planning for that would increase the cost
I’ve personally not had a single KJ warranty ceramic replacement for any component but if it does I have the lifetime warranty to cover it. I can show you lots of metal grills that are rusted out after their 3-5 year warranties expire if that helps lol
@@SmokingDadBBQ I have a nice stainless steel Rec Tec pellet grill that is 3 years old but looks brand new because it is totally stainless steel. It cooks like a champ but I still feel like I need one of these just for funsies.
maybe it’s different in each country. for me it says a valid proof of purchase must be submitted even after it’s registered - biggreenegg.ca/pages/warranty
@@SmokingDadBBQ no worries. Comment was just for information. Truth be told, I have two BGEs and I’m trying to save my pennies up to get a big joe 3! I’d like to make the transition like you did! Great content! I always look forward to your videos.
it’s hardly a guarantee. I have yet to have a warranty issue on my Joe’s, when you play over a decade of experience on fast forward it sounds like stuff happens all the time but it’s not that frequent. the point is stuff can happen and if buying used you want to save enough for the stuff that can possible break
@@SmokingDadBBQ okay, in the video it sounded like this was a regular occurrence for your friends. I was looking at kamados but the ceramic cracking due to thermal shock worried be because I live in the northeast. Probably not as cold as Canada though.
@@SmokingDadBBQ that's good to hear. It's unfortunate that they don't offer warranty replacement even on OEM parts that you purchase directly from them if it's for a used grill. Thoughts on the KJ big Joe 1? I see some around me for about 1k usd. (New)
lol the reality is that any grill subjected to everything Mother Nature throws at it plus raging fires regularly tests every grill over time so you either want a long warranty and or to get it cheap enough used you come out ahead
I personally have yet to submit a kJ warranty claim but over a decade of egg ownership found that I replaced the ring regularly and the fire box occasionally

so if those don’t work you need to lock your airlift hinge using the tool that came with the grill. then you can loosen the bands and align the dome.
I’ve been waiting each week for another informative and fun episode from you
thanks so much
The Weber kamado will not suffer from these cracks.
no you’re right, metal doesn’t have the cracking risk that ceramic does
Great video! Which would get Used Kamado Joe classic ii or used big Joe i? Both going for similar prices
my heart goes to big joe.
Great grill. congratulations
Very useful to go over the failure points and warranty coverage as I just noticed a crack in my KJ fire box base that looks identical to the one in your photo (6-month old classic 2, so a little surprised). Will be submitting a warranty claim! Plan to continue using the grill in the meantime ... hope that is safe.
yes if you have warranty I wouldn’t worry. if I didn’t I would stop to not potentially spread the issue to other components
Great suggestion! and congrats on the grill
Cheers from the Netherlands! Thanks to your advice, I Just bought a new Kamado Jr. ! What kind of cooks would you recommend for a totall beginner?
congratulations. start with these - th-cam.com/video/JA84ZvYL47Y/w-d-xo.html
I will also add, most people selling used are too dumb to file a warranty and are selling you their problem...
cheers Gerald, thanks for watching and commenting
Bought a pre Owned Komodo Joe 550 classic 2 owned it for 2 years I’ll take my chances
for enough savings me as well, i have bought several used ones... just not from people asking next to near new prices
I was told the warranty came with individual components when bought new now I am sad
Fantastic advice, James!
Thanks Scott
Great video! Curious if u have any tips or tricks to transport a used grill. I found a used Big Joe 2 but unfortunately it's 3hr away from me.
remove the internals so they dont bounce inside and crack during transport. tie down / secure well
Note even thinking of buying used, but watching anyway lol.
I'm just starting to feel constrained by the limited space of even a large kamado. Compared to even a backyard-sized offset - much less an actual large sized offset - I'm just lacking in so much space. Not that I really NEED it most of the time... but when I do it's a tad annoying to have to fire up two grills at one time for the space.
haha thanks for watching anyways 😂… space goes fast when you start adding multiple grills
I appreciate all you do!
it might be worth getting the newer band style if the old ones are bent / have been on upside down lol
My local egg dealer told me if you buy a replacement part for an egg as long as you keep the ticket on purchasing it they will warranty it.
i have heard both versions but sounds like you're good with your dealer so thats good
@@SmokingDadBBQ was told that by three different dealers in my area I wanted to be sure before I purchased a fire bowl for my large egg. Purchased it off a close friend for 200 bucks.
James
Thank you for this info! I will definitely wait for a new KJ.
Right on!
Now this is valuable info. Thank you for it.
Glad it was helpful!
excellent video with useful information. Think I'll shy away from used unless I found one at 50% as you suggest.
100%
Hi James, I'm not sure if you can comment but what is your opinion on Primo Ceramic grills?
as a general rule I don’t have one and don’t like to comment on products I don’t have / own … when I did my research on them they at the time didn’t have as many accessories and I had read some reports of large temp variances in the oval shape
KJ has been eating (hah) at their market for a long time.
ya that is puzzling as to what the thinking must be at head office
Hi James,
Enjoy watching your videos, thanks for posting them!
Sorry last question - I’m assuming the 3 is better for slow cooks primarily because of the slow roller?
@@RobocopStillRules yes and the 4” taller design which allows for more space from heat to meat
Great topic to share information about!
Thank you!
What do you think of the Blaze Kamado grills?
I’d love to try one
Nice video - I will be purchasing a new Kamado Joe Classic II
Good choice! congrats
If you form a good rapport with the seller you could ask them to submit the warrant claim later on. Possibly
for sure if they were willing to do that for you that could work
As always great video! Very informative.
thanks Kevin
Worried about buying used, the joe jr that you link in Amazon does it come with the heatt deflector ??
yes the jr comes with the standard heat deflector included
More great info James, those deals can be pretty attractive, BUT, buyer beware!
exactly.. so long as you save enough it can be ok.
Since watching your channel I use less fuel and run it at 260-300 its been running much better at those temps
@@josephanderson7134 glad to help
Perfect timing, there is a Classic Joe I or II for 700 Euros in my area... new price is 1700 Euros...
that’s sounding like enough savings to make it work
Wait till next year. Everyone will be selling all the expensive grills (and other stuff) they invested in last year and this year to survive the pandemic with no restaurants and travel. But with that coming back, folks will start to sell everything off when they return to "real life"
puppies, bikes, toilet paper and everything else that’s been sold out for a year lol
How liable is the Joe Junior firebox to cracking... given that it is in one piece...?
you’d think because it’s the same design but I haven’t had or seen that yet. wonder if because it’s less mass?
@@SmokingDadBBQ Thanks. I have a cheap miniture kamado (±10" grid diameter). The firebox cracked vertically in one place. The gap at that point spreads when the grill is used to about 1mm. I'm in the market for a Junior as it is on special offer on Amazon for 449€ (±100€ less than at a reseller).
Surprised you didn't mention to check if they used lighter fluid previously.
good call
That fire ring in the bottom has cracked twice for me first one was replaced instant still waiting for KJ to respond to the second cracking, that is the only issue I have had with it. I do wonder why it happens.
I think it’s the same lack of expansion issue that the Egg single piece design box and ring has
Great advice, thanks for sharing!
thanks
Subbed for the 365 dedication
haha thanks Shaun
Really good Traeger grill commercial!
i have a Neighbor with a timberline 850 that’s rusted out twice. they replaced it the first time but won’t the second time while it’s still under its 5 year warranty. not a bed of roses there either as controllers, fans, rust etc can add up too
I need to know where you got that shirt!!! I NEED ONE!
I think it was from amazon
Thanks pal! Love your content
@@SmokingDadBBQ what was the name? Sorry just saw you replied haha sorry about that
@@robertorobato1748 just search aloha shirt and it will have lots of options. American eagle has some too as does banana republic
Solid points for sure James definitely worth sharing although I may gamble on a jr if I catch one.

Great video as always.
Thanks again Steven
Char-Griller Acorn very nice to use easy to clean efficient economical love it.
right on and thanks Steven
How long have you had yours ive had mine 3 years and its starting to rust some can't beat that price though
@@josephanderson7134 1 year, I store it in a garage when not in use.
Basically the company doesn't back their products after they have been properly registered for warranty. Not worth the extra cash.
all the leading brands support the original grill owner for as long as they keep the product which is beyond the 3-5 year warranties on most metal grills.
otherwise you would have generational warranty from passing down to kids to their kids to their kids etc and I am sure planning for that would increase the cost
You never mention the Weber summit kamado when you speak about kamados.
Would be a good review!
Weber is a real contender performance and price wise.
I felt comfortable going in depth on grills I have bought and used for years. my neighbour got one and I’d love to play with it for a video.
Good info. Thanks!!!
Glad it was helpful!
I sold a great grill the other day and if you are a decent person you will allow them to claim the warranty under your name
i have a friend who did the same for a guy he sold his grill too. Awesome
used? i think you talked me out of a new one too.
I've got warranty parts for my BGE without any asking of where I got it or what the serial number was.
awesome. maybe it’s just a Canada thing as the website mandates proof of purchase
Jesus crust, apparently you’re the only one person who makes videos about kamodo Joe ceramic grill/smoker. LoL
There are a few others who feature kamados as well. The Fogo channel is big green egg
Sorry, was supposed to say HI James...
hi
No proof of purchase necessary for BGE warranty claims. Just a picture.
maybe it’s different in each country. for me it says a valid proof of purchase must be submitted even after it’s registered - biggreenegg.ca/pages/warranty
@@SmokingDadBBQ no worries. Comment was just for information. Truth be told, I have two BGEs and I’m trying to save my pennies up to get a big joe 3! I’d like to make the transition like you did! Great content! I always look forward to your videos.
TOO LATE! Guilty as charged, my preowned KJ firebox and top stainless grill are cracked
oh no. hope you got it cheap enough to justify out of pocket expenses
sounds like a pain in the ass to own one of these... imagine buying a grill that breaks every year.
it’s hardly a guarantee.
@@HunterD510 I know people with eggs at their cottages where it’s even colder than where I am and 10 years later they have not had a single failure
@@SmokingDadBBQ that's good to hear. It's unfortunate that they don't offer warranty replacement even on OEM parts that you purchase directly from them if it's for a used grill.
Thoughts on the KJ big Joe 1? I see some around me for about 1k usd. (New)
@@SmokingDadBBQ That was one of my big questions. I live in the mountains of NC and was wondering how the cold would treat a ceramic grill.
Weber it is ...!
lol the reality is that any grill subjected to everything Mother Nature throws at it plus raging fires regularly tests every grill over time so you either want a long warranty and or to get it cheap enough used you come out ahead
Sheesh! It would seem that all of these things are born to fail.
I personally have yet to submit a kJ warranty claim but over a decade of egg ownership found that I replaced the ring regularly and the fire box occasionally
Note to self after watching this video.
Never buy a used Ceramic grill at any coat!
or if you do get it cheap enough you are safe
Big joe 3 6-8 weeks to ship 😭
painful but worth it
@@SmokingDadBBQ My family is questioning why I’m getting it In total it’s over 3000 but it’s worth it in my opinion it’s motivate me to cook better food
Sounds to me the Kamado Joe is the better option rather new or used!
the replacement parts are less expensive and less likely to crack .. at least the expensive stuff it seems so far
Your a dealer !
Nope. Don’t make a penny from you buying any grill of any brand
