- New 2024 / 2023 Motorcycles & Scooters Released! Today we're taking a closer look at the latest new motorcycle and scooter models to be released from Honda. We've got everything from the new 2024 Honda Ruckus scooter to the 2024 Metropolitan (also known as the Giorno) which are part of the 49cc scooter model lineup from Honda and then we've got the new 2023 Honda Trail 125 / CT125 / Hunter Cub that's FINALLY been released for the US market from American Honda with some new changes! We'll dive into what those new 2023 CT125 / Trail 125 changes are for the USA, sadly no 5-speed transmission but there were some other upgrades we'll dive into. Plus we'll let get into the 2023 Trail 125 dealer release dates for the USA as well as the release dates for the 2024 Ruckus (NPS50) and Metropolitan too, so you know when to expect them in stock at your local Honda motorcycle and scooter dealership! And last but not least, of course we'll dive into colors and what kind of price tags you'll find for the new CT125, Ruckus and Metropolitan.

I wish honda would bring the Forza 750 or something like a PCX with enough power to do the speed limit on the interstate. the 160cc PCX is still too slow and dangerous to share the road with drunks and idiots.
I wish the 125cc lineup bikes had about 10-15mph more top speed or bump em up to 150cc. We just need a little extra to make them safe on our rural backroads.
Yes..the Monkey shoukd be 175cc.

Yeah, they should bring back the tradition of offering the same bike with a 125 or 250cc engine.
I'd get it in a heartbeat even of ot costs a bit more. Means I only need to own one bike.
I really wish Honda would just give us more color options. I understand why they don't do it, but it would be really nice if you could at least pay a premium for a previous year's colors. Incentive to buy the colorway now rather than later, but still make it available to get if you really want that color but have to wait a year or so to gather the spare change to purchase one.
Yessir, I'm with you 100% on that one which is why I end up harping so much on colors in a lot of these videos. There are soooo many models that have multiple color options overseas and then when they land here in the US, "oh, you guys only get this one color!" and it drives me up the wall. I can understand from a business perspective if it's a slow seller, to not bring over a ton of colors but who is to say on some of these bikes that the lackluster color option is the reason for its slow sales? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in some of these meetings though so see why they do this versus that and their whole thought process behind some of these decisions.
Ahhh, I like your thinking there! That'd be pretty cool to see and I'd bet a lot of people would take advantage of it. It'd probably be a logistical nightmare but I'd say there would be a decent chunk of people that'd pay a premium for that option. I know I would!
I've been waiting to go buy a new one, but then green came out. I've owned green vehicles before but think it makes this bike look ugly, so I won't be buying one. That sucks. I was hoping to let one of my daughters use it as her starter bike. So Honda, you just missed making a connection with two riders due to a marketing issue that is roughly 100 years old, color choices. Smh

First off Honda could care less who buys the bike, because they know they won’t have any issues selling it regardless of color . You guys sound like a bunch of women whining about color. @@HondaProKevin I know that it probably wouldn't work, simply because having prices higher for certain colors they offered in the past at a lower price would probably anger a lot of people and just make Honda look greedy, but if they're transparent and upfront with the reasoning then maybe it would get a pass? Premium color options are a thing in the automotive world, paying more $ for a specific colorway is common there, but I know what works for cars doesn't work for 2 wheeled vehicles in the states.
I notice that the models we get more colors in outside of the best sellers are the ones like the Navi, where they're assembled in North America and the color options are mainly in the fairings, which are light and cheaper to ship, compared to something like the Trail125 or Ruckus, where the frames are where a bulk of the colors are. I think until 2 wheeled vehicles are bought much more frequently in the US, imported models will lack color options, unfortunately. Perhaps they could offer certain colors in limited quantities during a new model's launch to gauge interest and gather data on how a model sells, given more color options, and if it does well, offer more colors in later years that aren't the same as the limited launch colors. I'd be very interested to run the sales data through some algorithms to determine whether its the color that doesn't sell, or the model, or if one has a hidden effect on another. I'm not sure what honda uses to determine which colors to offer, but I'm sure it's intriguing data.
I'd literally buy the Super Cub if it came in the 2022 color scheme. I know Kevin, you were indifferent about about the 22' color, but I'd like dark blue, red, or all white over the 'teal' color of 23' model.
Honda needs to get on production for the trail, still huge waiting lists in the Pacific Northwest. I still hope to see the trail get it's other original colors orange and yellow options someday.
As a European I just hope the CT 125 comes here!
With the latest engine update to meet more strict emissions, you'd have to think it's coming to Europe now!
But... we all know Honda can make some pretty odd decisions at times lol!

Nothing "official" yet but that's to be expected, sadly, as American Honda is struggling right now... Everything is behind schedule when it comes to announcements and don't get me started on actually being able to get units to dealers lol! It's crazy but here's to hoping we can finally start to put some of this lingering rona mess behind us before the end of the year. Doubtful but hey, positive thoughts - positive thoughts lol!
Honda, we want the ADV 160 with the rear disc brake. Even better would be the ADV 350.

I agree and Honda has a fanbase for the Dax, all of us who rode them in the '70s or whenever it was back in the day for Dax or Trail 70 riders. O well, I won''t let the thought of Euro guys on their new Daxes get me too steamed. 😂

Sadly, not for us here in the states for 2023. Fingers crossed for 2024 lol!
...or if you don't mind a bit of legwork, the plastic aren't too terribly expensive and you could buy the tan plastics from outside of the US and have them shipped in and do a color change. I've done that in the past on Groms where we didn't have the color I wanted here in the states and know of quite a few people that have done the same on the mini model lineup since their plastics aren't crazy expensive like on most of the bigger bikes.

Honda: Make a 150-300cc ruckus. Here in murica' we love our super-sized happy meals, and diet cokes... Plus I have a worked zx14, 80-100 on highway and I'm still getting passed, by mini vans w entire families in them
lol right! I'm right there with ya man, we need a modernized Big Ruckus to make a return. The original didn't do so well, so they'll need to take a different route this time around but it's doable and if done right - I think it'd sell like hot cakes!
Side note, you cracked me up with those two references as they are 100% spot on for good ole murica with our super sized happy meals and diet cokes paired up with mini vans doing 100 down the highway lol!
@@HondaProKevin fckn a! I've had lotsa bikes, zx10, s1000rr, cbr1000, buncha others. Something about the 14 makes other people want to pass me after i pass them, the more beat the car is the more they want to pass or prove something.
I'd totally rock a bigger ruckus. At 6ft 240 it'd be stretch as is. Putting 2k into it to get 10 horses is rough.
Unfortunately, slow vehicles on some roads are potentially more dangerous. Hoboken, NYC, sleepy beach towns I think the ruckus is great. Oh well, Supercross is here tomorrow, sure I'll get some ideas or inspiration and maybe rant to honda execs

Yeah... I'm with you there bud. I've got to see it in person on the CT before I'll give my final judgement but after seeing the paint on the CB500X and Rebel 500 - I don't know... I mean, I like it on the CB500X as it has a lot of other colors / graphics to help accent it but on the Rebel 500 - I don't like it. There's not enough to break it up. Looking forward to seeing it in person though as pictures / videos don't do that shade of green justice and just how much it looks different depending on the lighting etc. It'll be interesting to see how people accept it though as there's no doubt about it, it's an interesting color and has some rather polarizing opinions from most people.

CT125 should have a Hi/Low gearbox. Don't need it, probably won't use it. But this would be a vanity buy for me and dang it, I want it. Besides, Herb Uhl said it should have one and he invented the OG.

I once purchased a brand new 1968 Honda Trail 90 when I was a sixteen year old in high school. Paid $370 for it by saving my school lunch money and weekend work. It had a dependable kick start and a dual range transmission. When switched to low, I could go up any steep wet old rutted farm road with my brother on the back with good tires. Loved that bike, upgraded to the 305 Dream in the good young days and toured the Midwest a bit. As an old timer that's seldom been on a bike since then, I've been thinking about the CB500X. I hope Honda comes out with a new and improved 500X for 2024. Things I'd like to see on a new Honda CB500X: New 505cc engine designed like the new 755cc engine with 68HP; improved rear suspension; modern 5" TFT with connectivity and USB; enlarged kickstand footprint; lower center of gravity; and all at 187 kg wet weight for only $7,500.
If Honda offered a choice of 4-speed auto-clutch and 5-speed manual on all the 125cc minimotos, they'd sell 20% more bikes. Surely some would-be Monkey buyers would like the auto-clutch just as many prospective CT125 buyers would pony up for the 5-speed.
kind of takes the fun out of the bike in general,, when dealers only have one or two a year for a thousand would be buyers.....And look out for the dealer markup. Really kills the fun factor of owning one.

Please bring back the dual range sub transmission. It's a honda exclusive. I have a 96 ct110 which has the dual range transmission. I can ride off road up hilly terrain. I'd pay extra for this transmission, it's that good.
I want a CT125 so badly and I’m pumped to see the different color for this year. Now I gotta figure out where the heck I can find trails to actual ride the thing. Right now I basically just want it to commute to and from the grocery store

honda approached harley davidson in the 1960s about a possible joint venture, honda wanted a way to import the Cub into the USA and keep import costs down, Harley Davidson said they didn't think the Cub would be good for Harley Davidsons image and said it would not sell in sufficent numbers to be worthwhile, the cub went on to sell more units than any other motorcycle in history and H/D is now going down the drain,
"I wish" the CT125 was more abundant in my area. Long waiting list dealers got a only few last year.

A 5speed for the CT125 would have been nice and gear indicator added to the gauge cluster. With the 125cc you always think there's an other gear above top gear, but nope you're there 🤣 knowing what gear you're in sometimes it's a good thing. Other than that, bring more colors to Canada. We will only get the red one for 2023
Yes, one thing to stress about is the need for speed UPHILL!!! The trail would be perfect for top speed 100 and 60 up hills and extra torque for those back roads or broken ones no longer in access

If the American division of haunted does in fact pay attention to these videos. I do hope they start giving more luck to the 650s, shipping more out to the dealers, but also giving us more color options. We only ever get red and matte black, but the rest of the world sees way better options.

I just wish they'd bring all these fun motorcycles to Europe. When you want a smaller bike it's usually Chinese crap, overpriced Italian or vintage that's your only options.

The CT125 needs a fat tire version.
Wish Honda would bring the CB350 RS and Hiness to the U.S in a V Twin...500cc or more. Also, if they do, kill that awful Hiness name and just call it a CB350. What are they waiting on? Lots of buyers would love to have a 1970 CB350 or CB750 semi - clone.

Not that any of this is up to me, but I would have revamped the S90 and CL90 style frame over the Dax or Monkey, and even the CT/ST.
I probably would have never bought my Navi in cash, and would have gotten a CL125 5sp FI and front ABS with any and all accessories... In cash.
