- In episode 3 of our tour of Israel, we climb to the top of Masada, a fortress built by king Herod and later conquered by the Roman army resulting in the death of many Jews.
Next stop includes swimming in the Dead Sea, hiking to the waterfalls of King David’s Stream and enjoying the beauty of the Ein Gedi oasis.

Joas and Pricilla, I am so glad to be reliving my Israel experience over again with you! Unfortunately when we were there, most of our touring group became very ill, and hence, we were entirely unable to concentrate on the Biblical history as it was explained. You are putting narration to the photos I have, in that we visited many of the same places! Just as you have discovered, it was a life changing experience for us (despite our coughs, fevers, aches and pains)! May His name be praised!

I’m sure your lives are changed forever after that trip to Israel. You must be closing your eyes and reliving beautiful scenes of everything you saw and experienced.
I can remember very clearly being at the large waterfall in 1992. In fact some of our group paddled in the water if I can remember rightly 😀.

HELLO PRISCILLA & JOAS...I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR ADVENTURES, & ESPECIALLY, THESE EPISODES FROM ISRAEL...I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CAMEL RIDE SEGMENT...I WAS BORN WITH CAMELS ALL AROUND ME IN NORTHERN SOMALIA...THEY WOULD GO PAST OUR VILLA WHERE MY DAD, WHO WAS A BRITISH AGRICULTURAL VETERINARIAN, WORKED ON THE DISEASED CATTLE DURING THE 50S THERE...HE WOULD OFTEN TAKE TREKS INTO ETHIOPIA, TO HARAR FOR A VISIT...I AM CONNECTED TO THE STORY OF EXODUS (THE BOOK WRITTEN BY LEON URIS, THROUGH MY BIRTH DOCTOR)...YOU DID A FABULOUS JOB ON THIS VIDEO...ALL THE BEST...🙏🏻;)

Oh my, I’ve been to Masada several times but never tried to walk/run up it. I’ve walked down the back side and that was enough exertion for me. Good job making it to the top on foot.

Joas; The higher you go, the thinner the air becomes and the less oxygen it contains.
The faster you ascend in a short time, the greater the chance that you will get altitude sickness. The chance of altitude sickness is smaller if you ascend slowly and take enough time to acclimatize. Altitude sickness can be dangerous so please be carefull with those activities. So Thankfull that you share the video's with us, TYSM ❣❣❣

Yeah looks like they are putting too much weight on these poor camels. Who knows how they get treated..
