You'd be happy to know that you can use a auto dim mirror from a Chevy Tahoe plug and play that of the same years that has temp and compass on it 😎 For the temperature sensor and info I just used one from a wj so I got inside and out temperature information and my rear view mirror has a compass too Might be overkill but I love it
I have mouse sign in my 2014. He chewed on my kleenx box. Thanks now I have another place to look for the little stinker.👍 The mouse sucker 3000 is hungry! 😂
I always just unscrewed the screws holding the sunroof switch in place in instead of popping the latches on the sides of those connectors. It lets you use the sunroof still, is easier, and less likely to break anything. My EVIC mount (the black bracket) fell down because of the summer heat melting the butyl, so I stuck it up with some super-strong 3m double-sided tape and it works.
Those evic bulbs for the button lights, are hard to find. Least I had a hard time. Had to buy some other bulbs and transfer the new lights into the old bulb housing
well you mentioned it so i gotta ask, what is going on with beach Jeep? I have one of those WJ evics i was gonna try and use in a Comanche i had , imma have to see which one it is👍 maybe i can use it in my 96 2 door XJ
Yes, but a piece of advice, the proper sensors, the ones that are magnet-trainable are hard to get now. There are some compatible ones but almost all require some TPMS tool and knowledge.
Mouse houses… there’s a grand Cherokee up the street that’s been sitting in the same spot for about 20 years now. I always wanted to stop and ask about it but there’s branches and vegetation starting to cover it… I can only imagine what lives in that poor thing. 😔
I'd personally prefer to DOWNgrade my 2002 Limited EVIC. When the non-serviceable, old-school $150 (per wheel) TPMS unit batteries die, the EVIC beeps, complains, and displays an error instead of C/T upon startup and after every 20 minutes of driving. I'm looking for a hack.

Dude, that's great. I bet most mirrors just need power and ground
I just look the plug on the Chevy tahoe rear view mirror is different then Jeep
So you are saying a Chevy tahoe rear view mirror will rear the compass and temp?
2 super easy upgrades in 1 vid! Enjoy!
Thanks Dan , I love these diy upgrades you show. My 2000 wj limited will be that much better thanks to you.
Awesome! You can do it! 💪
Man I wish u made this video when I did this 2 yrs ago . I figured all this out just by messing around with my Wj

lol, I always thought it was weird that they secured the EVIC mount with only that messy black goo! haha
@@ProjectDanH Especially since the dome light mount on XJs is a real metal bracket.
@@elsydeon666 can't compare WJs to XJs... XJs are superior in every way. lol 😜
@@ProjectDanHI always thought the opposite, that the WJ is a better XJ.

Try led wedge bulbs!
Hey Dan, awesome video! But whether it's a screwdriver or anything else, it can never be too long.
LMAO... Thats what s.... never mind 😁
Had to pause half way through to take my old auto dimming mirror out of my old 2000 wj to put in my base model 02 wj Laredo lol
Haha. That's awesome!

I'm building the engine now! 😁
Better mileage? Gotta be the Columbia package upgrade! 😂
💯 lol
saludos desde Mexico
Is that possible on a 2000 WJ?

Those TPMS sensors are a pita anyway...😁😁
Seriously! Going through it with my XK now

Superchips has TPMS disabled for my Wrangler. They may have one for your JGC.
Lol.. want my old EVIC?
You keeped saying 300 miles ik what you meant lol
What's wrong with 300 miles? 🤷 That's the distance I drove on my first tank of gas.
You can get more then 300 miles ik I do on my v8
@@natewj1587I get about 320 miles until my needle is at the very bottom, then it take’s about 18.5 to 19 gallons to fill back up
