WOW, this band is beyond, I can`t believe all of this music came out from Ilan`s head and talent. And This live band is just awesome. Very unrated band.
The end was so fucking awesome. I have and eargasm.
I f*cking love this song, I f*cking love that drum shed. Complete awesomness! I can play Ilan's line of the drum shed and also Kane's line, I love to play both! I can play this whole song on drums and guitar, I love it! The New Regime is SICK
Oh... and as 56 year old wannabe drummer, I loved the drum duet at the end! :-)
For some reason this song reminds me of dark chocolate with oranges... bitter yet sweet. Great work you sirs!!
The drum shed at the end was awesome :D
from the album 'Speak Through The White Noise'.you can hear the full cd in the new regime's soundcloud!
this is a beautiful looking studio...

Kane Ritchotte is the drummer
Brilliant stuff! I've not heard of Ilan Rubin before. A talented guy!
I'd love to actually see them live on stage!
But I can't see them coming over to Germany any time soon!
Ilan Rubin is so unique on drums
love this band!
In these videos it's trevor faris. He's a fill in for Hayden Scott, their usual drummer.
Fuck me this is good...how did I miss this one
Great Groove drive .
saw them last night wit thursday and taking back sunday they played this song and it was fucking nuts!!
love
Recently stumbled upon the fact that the bassist is Ilan's brother, I believe.
I see references on the piano to something similar to a Black Sabbath song, Symptom of the universe, cool!
Respect!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh... piano sick... drums sick.... aaaaaaagggggggggghhhhh guitars :O daaaaaaaaaaaang
AGREED!!!
Saw these guys open up for the killers in Las Vegas tonight, blown away.
+Jadon Harper Nice! I'm watching them open for The Used next week, can't wait!
Evan Gonzalez I don't want to kill your excitment, but I don't really respect the band anymore because illan rubin made New Regime as a solo project and gives no credit to his musicians. Saddens me.
+Jadon Harper I actually met them that night and he was very happy to introduce other members. His brother and Hayden Scott, who was drumming for him that night, killed it on that stage and he def wasn't trying to take credit for that. He was obviously happy when I asked him about his brother and he called him over to introduce him. Ilan started The New Regime to work on his music and it's good music. Other people are happy to play with him. If you don't respect or listen to the music anymore, you're the only one missing out.
It is a solo project but what is wrong with that? Most of the time I talked with him, we were discussing who played on different songs which he happily discussed.
Really nice guy
+Jadon Harper btw he always talks about them as a band. He never introduced himself and constantly said "we" or the band name when talking to the audience at the show I went too.
i want the bass tabs to this song will any one help me tryed all the tabs sites i know but can't find it HELP ME
PLEASE!!!!!!! it's so catchy
Anyone know the album this is from????
wow
📡📡📡
Dreamy with a side of pleasure (drum fill)
Sweeeetttt :)))
The Moon Rabbit likes this!
Nice use of echo on the drums.
I used to be in a band and write and perform music, and this, well this just makes me feel wholly inferior.
Probably some studio dude they got to film these vids.
Atta boy d-rubes.
:D :D :D
* an
Not bad at all but some parts feel uncomfortably similar to Radiohead
The end was so "Piggy". Am I the only one?
I feel sad for the guitar player from 4:39 onwards.. He just doesn't know what to do with himself.
wow such an ego trip!
***** I'm not saying he shouldn't write his own songs. Just saying that his songs, particularly this one, are more concerned in showing his instruments skills than making good songs. Sure, Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme play really well, but they give space to the other musicians as well -- e.g. Josh and Trent have amazing musicians with them, and I don't think Dave ever played drums in Foo Fighters, even if he is an incredible drummer.
Ilan isn't making a song. He is just showing off, as you well said (btw "because he can" is an horrible argument, technical skills aren't music)
1rgrazziano Dave played drums on the first two albums for the Foo Fighters. He actually erased and re-recorded William Goldsmith's drum parts with his own. Even that wasn't "ego", that was getting the song right. Just like this isn't "ego". Just a talented guy playing his music. Music you obviously don't like, and that's cool, no one likes every type of music.
1rgrazziano Why would you say that? He is just playing a basic piano melody and some chords on guitar for the whole song, no solos or crazy stuff. If you are talking just about just the outro where he plays drums, well, 1 that part sounds fucking awesome, 2 both drummers get to shine, 3 that "solo" isn't close to really do justice to Ilan's drumming skills, and 4 Ilan's primary instrument is the drums so it's understandable he feels compelled to play them every now and then (Just like Dave Grohl does from time to time)
change vocalist. nope, it would be boring anyway.
only good thing here is drums, so stick to them
Love the drum tone and play style.
