COC = Observed number of double crossovers / Expected number of double crossovers Given: Expected double crossover frequency = 0.077* (0.77% chance that double crossover would occur) Total number of progeny = 1000 Observed number of double crossovers = 50 First, we calculate the expected number of double crossovers: Expected number of double crossovers=0.077×1000=77 Next, we use the observed number of double crossovers to calculate the coefficient of coincidence: COC = 50/ 77 COC= 0.649
Ma'am, but when we were solving frequency previously the formula was = no. Of recombinant /total no. Of progeny ×100 but here you are not using 100 in multiple why?
recombinantion frequency formula has 100 multipying in it bt ma'am uh haven't add it here why? in ur previous lecture the formula u used was no. of offspring/total no of offspring*100
Bcz in that case we hv to calculate the gene distance..if we don't multiply with 100 then no % in ans & in such decimal number(0.012 / 0.03) gene distance can't be written..but in this vdo gene distance isn't required to calculate!so..
If I will divide the map distance by 100 of both the single cross over and multiply with total progeny to calculate expected double crossover is it correct process or not???
She didn't put ×100 in formula. Let me simplify, formula of Recombination frequency use as it is but formula get divisible by 100 when u find frequency of crossover. Reason: We use the unit centimorgan (cM) to measure distance between genes based on offspring phenotype frequency. A centimorgan = 100 times the frequency of crossovers in the offspring. In this example, the frequency of crossovers is 10/100 and the distance between the genes is 100 * 1/10 = 10 centimorgans.
0.35 × 0.22 = 0.077
0.077 × 1000= 77
☝️For those students who are confused in values
But when we calculate single cross over frequency we use the formula single + double/total ×100 but this time she didn't used that ???
0.77×1000=770
@@ummulbanin9845 It can be done with that formula as well but 100 will get canceled as we will multiply it both in denominator and numerator
@@perpetualearner1 yes bt thn the denominator will be 10 not thousand , and the answer will be different
You gave the topic the out of world explanation you're the best teacher ever on you tube miss
15:55 par jab hum 0.35 multiply 0.22 karenge to answer value 0.077 aayegaa.
COC = Observed number of double crossovers /
Expected number of double crossovers
Given:
Expected double crossover frequency = 0.077* (0.77% chance that double crossover would occur)
Total number of progeny = 1000
Observed number of double crossovers = 50
First, we calculate the expected number of double crossovers:
Expected number of double crossovers=0.077×1000=77
Next, we use the observed number of double crossovers to calculate the coefficient of coincidence:
COC = 50/ 77
COC= 0.649
You can make every steps in simple ways.....thank you...
Well explained and I understand the whole topic with your good fluency 😄
i thing At 8:57 total progeny (expected) should be 770 not 77 and coc should be 0.065 not 0.65,plz clear if i am wrong
Well Explained Mam....🌸
Love u sis u r too good sis😊😊😊😊hope ap meri school teacher hoti sis😊😊
Thnxs ma'am, of your simple explanation
Simple explain u thanks
Mam frequency ka formula me × 100 bhi to ata hai . Wo kaise manage hua idhar
Brilliantly explained... Thankyou mam
Thank u so much mam you solve my all problem
Mam formula for frequency you put it wrong
No.of recombinant ÷total no of offspring × 100
Please explain
MAAM YOU ARE SO CUTE, YOUR LECTURE IS SO CUTE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND..I LOVE YOU🥰
Well explained .It helped me a lot
U made it sooooooo easy 😊🤗
Thank you so much mam ..now it is crystal clear to me..❤
Well explained, thank you so much ❤️
I must say you are gruu of genetics 🙏🏼🌺
Thank you mam
Exquisite lecture 💥
Thank you so much Ma'am for this wonderful lecture.❤
Well make out mam....👍👍👍
Best lecture on this topic ❤️

😂😂😂😂lol
Thats a formula 😂😂😂😂
Thanks mam ... more videos plz on the genetics ... unique way of laying an emphasis on the important stuff 👍👍

Really helpful
Plz tell me the scope of bsc horticulture
mam apart from how pretty u r i totally love the way u teach
Ma'am be like mother's of genetics
👍🏻👍🏻
Well explained 👍
Well explained.
Mam why didn't you multiply 100 when you calculate single cross over???
If I will divide the map distance by 100 of both the single cross over and multiply with total progeny to calculate expected double crossover is it correct process or not???
Happy teacher's day didi🥰🥰
Thank you😊
Please pin the previous video link you taught about the example.

App ki dress bahut achi lagi mujhe mam ji 😂❤😅
Best explanation! ❤ New subscriber here
Thnx mam ❤
So beautiful, intelligent, concept understanding looking like a wow ❤
Happy Teachers day my all time favorite mam ❤️❤️
Thank you😊

Happy Teacher's Day ma'am
Thaank you😊
Mam thank you so much
Mam i m facing problems in botany genetics , can you you help me in solving those problems.... Thanks mam
Maam I've a confusion.
Why we didn't multipied the single crossover frequency with 100 here. Pls reply
Can you simplify this explanation
Doublecross excepted frequency is wrong. It should 0.077
Thank you mam
Mam i have a doubt...where should I post?
Di i guess 9:06 par answer 0.77 × 1000 = 770 ana chahiye
right,i too found it.
0.35 × 0.22 = 0.077
0.077 × 1000= 77
Mam please make video how to read ncert ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sure
ma'am I'm sorry but 0.077 hona chahiye not 0.77. sorry ma'am, just one small calculation mistake
Interference kya (-) a sakti hey..
Yes...in bacteriophages (lower organisms )
Mam, zindabad 🥰🤩
0.77*1000 = 77 kaise aaya 🧐🧐 ..770 hona chahie n
Thankyou maam💕
Mam also explain English language
Other wise use both languages same time
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tnq mam
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Got it
I think you did wrong calculation...and comes as 0.99 interference
0.77×1000=770
