  • We decided to spend our honeymoon on Rotuma island - the most northern island of the Fiji group.
It was a truly beautiful experience and we love sharing it with you.
We have another video coming up soon when we hiked to the stone bridge on Rotuma.
    Enjoy the video!

Nice to see that you both enjoyed your visit to my island home Rotuma. Just a friendly reminder please respect our peoples traditional requirements and fully cover your self (4:57) next time when you're in someone's else local village, out on the beach, even when you think no one is around, the same respect as you would in your partners Fijian village. Faieksia (Thank you). #enjoy #respect

      Absolutely loved it. 😊
Btw we did ask locals there and they were like “yeah wear whatever it’s NOT like in a village on the other islands” so that’s why I went ahead with it 🥲

Hanisiof ma allalum. Rotuma is part of the Republic of Fiji islands. They have historical links (pre-colonial/pre-contact with the missionaries) to the province of Ba and Ra on Viti Levu.

About 39 years ago i loved a boy from Rotuma. He was tall, fair and handsome. To this day i have rarely seen anyone as handsome as him. I only knew his first name Henry and he worked as a security guard for T.G. Desai in lautoka fiji. I still sometimes wonder about him. I wonder where he is and what he's doing. I am not planning to have any relationship with him, just curious. He was a good person too, despite his looks and treated me well. Hope someone sees this and knows who i am talking about

There are no hotels or tourism as such. You will need to find a homestay or be invited by a local. If you would like a contact of a lovely homestay please message me on Instagram @ileamariee.

Yanuyanu ni veiniuniu. Well it is Fiji Islands originally belonged to the Vanua Levu Province of Macuata Bua in reality. They the Rotumans escaped from their country because it was explored for mineral ores and they chased away back those decades.
Fiji was the only country that felt sorry for them and that island since it was uninhabited was given to them to make their living.
Such a sad story their history.

Are you Rotuman ? You must be confusing Rotuma with Rabi or Kioa . What you described never happened in Rotuma . Rotuma was never under Macuata or Bua . Please get the facts right .
