There is ONE place and spawn you can pretty safely pick the red chest early: Snowy Battery.
You spawn on the far left side of the map, run straight to a shack, and the red chest may inside it. you can grab it and reach the exit you spawned close to. Even if two coms are hit at the same time with rads and weight, you'll make it to the exit. but yes in general, you're f-ed.
