Dr.Wells is to this day one of tge most profound Systematic theologians alive today. The problem, our inability to articulate a doctrine if God. This book Can Not be sped read.
In Keith A. Mathison’s book, Dispensationalism: Rightly Dividing the People of God? he states on page 31: “We also now have the Holy Spirit, who gives us the power to obey the law of God written upon our hearts.” Does Mathison believe he is obeying the law of God?Could it be that Mathison, a professor at a Christian college, is not familiar with Romans 7:1-6? “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead…” We are not under law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14) Attempts to put Christians back under the law brings to mind Galatians 4:9, “But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?” In Mathison’s chapter on The Rapture, he proposes that something is “biblically indefensible.” (Page 121) With his fundamental misunderstanding of scripture, I’m not sure how Mathison can make such a claim. This may seem harsh, but my comments are meant to bring to light serious errors. If your views on scripture are similar to Mathison’s, I highly recommend watching the linked video. It will truly help your understanding of scripture. th-cam.com/video/QOJ59A0dyuQ/w-d-xo.html
