Every tune and time above me in Forza 7 is a 4 speed F1 tune. I refuse to use them to get top times... So I've stayed with an 8 speed I tuned myself and pulled a 1m39.908s with it... Haven't got or can afford the F1 2019 or 2020 game. Absolutely love the sound of old school F1 ❤️🔊❤️

Correct. They are naturally aspirated (NA) 5/6 litre V10s. BMW had the most powerful apparently but Ferrari were not far off and Mercedes were also pretty good too. All the power was at the top end and they were extremely demanding physically on the drivers who would be in a pool of their own sweat at the end of the races.

This is V10 no turbo. All the power is at top of rev range which will make it feel slow off the line or if you’re a gear up. Current engines with hybrid and turbo have a very wide power band because electric fills torque gaps and spins up the turbo at lower revs. Aero should be half or so of what we have now - maybe less - and not sure if they have different tire models for these but the grooves tires were meant to slow the cars down and teams struggled with front end grip (check on board of Fernando Alonso driving style in these cars). All this plus the much, much lighter car will make it very snappy.
In reality the F1 2004 is a bit slower than modern F1 cars but when you compare fair, means giving it wider tyres and slicks and make the car itself a bit wider, I guess it would be faster. The V10 inside is just a brutal beast.^^
V10 had next to no torque so it's normal to feel nothing until you get in the rpm zone. thay had twice less torque than a hybrid. the kick feels weak after driving a hybrid.
tbh you should have backed a bit considering the previous lap squeeze. and the one with other driver its not actually fair. you are a much better guy than this i honestly believe.. cheers mate
Not Turbo lag, there is no turbo. It's a naturally aspirated v10. Maybe just the way they nerfed it, or it doesn't have very good low end torque compared to the newer cars.
I didnt know about that glitch and explains so much... saw some guys 10 seconds under what is the world record like wtf... Codemaster needs to identiy and wipe out those times it's ridiculous!

There probably isn't a glitch, but taking a short break every 15 minutes or so when doing something that requires a great deal of concentration is always a good idea and helps stop your cognitive performance degrading
from my personal experience taking the kerb on exits really slows the car down, especially on the exit of the last corner, you lose a lot of time. I was about 50th place in baku with this car and after a couple of attempts of staying off the kerb on exit i managed to get up to 12th
Shouldn't be any turbo lag in the Ferrari F2004 as it has a normally aspirated V10 engine. Codemasters must have nerfed the car by tuning out the traction control so you feel more wheelspin maybe that is why it feels unpredictable on throttle. Made it less OP than in F1 2019, it was definitely not a realistic representation of the F2004 as no way could it lap faster than a 2019 or 2020 F1 Car.
