I thought I was the only one who noticed that the security guard actually did his job as a real one would. Small details like that REALLY do help movies.
I don’t mind this drama-i like the female and male actors. The male may be bad..being force to marry -he tends to retaliate-thinking unkind things about the girl. A lot of things he did was to push the girl to divorce him…when she finally left-he felt her loss. And them getting to know each other again was cool. Then true love is realised. The girl has always love the male..so not surprising she still look out for him. Well done..love this👍🏻

When I say this, I am not trying to justify his actions - but to be fair, he was forced into an arranged marriage, and they didn't tell him anything about why they chose her as his wife. He was already biased against her for his loss of freedom, etc, and therefore, every decision he made was to hurt her. But you can tell when he realizes that he actually likes her and genuinely loves her. With that said, did he deserve a second chance? I don't know, but I personally would not have given him one - because cheating is still cheating, regardless of the reason behind it. I enjoyed watching him struggle and suffer from regret and wished he suffered more in regret. It would have been great character development. But I still would not have given a second chance.

What I’m saying is that I enjoyed watching him realize that he loves her and then suffering for it. Nothing teaches you a lesson better than regrets, and I kinda wish that he had to regret it for the rest of his life or at least a little bit longer. And as for saying no to arranged marriages, in some cultures, it’s not quite as easy. Although in this case, it probably could’ve been easy because he had the upper hand. But some of these arranged marriages are the business marriages.

Everyone said he cheated. Did you guys all fast forward through this one? He originally wanted his wife to think he was having all these affairs so she would divorce him because he thought she drugged him to get him into bed to force him to marry her. But when he found out his second uncle and a person from the Shen family drugged him and his wife "saved" him, she didn't drug him, he took his friend with him to his wife's doorstep to clarify that *every* single woman he had been "caught" with was actually his friend's girlfriends. He was helping his friend cover up his messy (slutty) life and wanted her to misunderstand so she'd divorce him. It was only *after* he found out she didn't drug him for him to marry her and the other misunderstandings were cleared up that he clarified his "affairs". He also brought her a file with proof that he hadn't had anything to do with Ms Shen since their marriage and had no interest in her. He apologized to his wife and said that he was going to break up with Ms Shen before the drugging incident with her but since that happened before he had a chance to break up with Ms Shen, he felt sorry for her (but that was all her felt towards her).
So to be clear, he cheated on his wife *ZERO* times. To be fair, if you woke up in bed with someone and didn't remember having sex with them and your grandfather forced you to marry them *AND* from all accounts it appeared that person (because they said they liked you) appeared to be the person that drugged you to set you up to force you into the situation, how nice would you be to them? You'd want them to divorce you too. He didn't abuse her. He didn't hit her. He didn't bring a mistress home or impregnate someone else. He didn't force her to donate blood to his white moonlight. He didn't force her to have sex with him. He just *pretended* to have affairs to try to get her to divorce him.
That's why it was more of a star crossed lovers/ill fated lovers situation. Nether person was fully at fault for the situation. Neither person brought it on themselves with their own actions. That being said, they both made mistakes. And all of the blame was not his. She never once told him she wasn't the person that drugged him. 🤷🏼♀️ Why not say it? If he didn't believe it, all she had to say was ask your uncle if I'm lying. Then she goes from scheming woman to his savior, just like that. So simple. On his part, 5 years and you can't figure out what kind of person your wife is until after you divorce her? 🤦🏼♀️ Come on, nobody believes you dude. And who gets a divorce and tells their friends they don't have a problem with them pursuing their ex-wife? So stupid. You should have to work 10 times as hard to get your woman back just for agreeing to that.
The reason I can accept they got back together is: one, they were really never "together" in the first place; two, no abuse was done to the wife by the husband (therefore no irreversible harm); three, he never actually cheated on her; lastly, I felt after all the misunderstandings were cleared up, he truly was repentant and loved her and she still loved him and couldn't let him go.

I can understand why a lot of people don't feel like they should have ended up together. I said I could "accept" that they ended up together but I wasn't really invested in what happened either way.

It wasn’t just her that thought he was cheating. He went out of his way to give everyone that impression. I imagine the loss of “face” for her in that situation must have been enormous. He would have gone ballistic if she had treated him that way. For that reason, I don’t see this as a harmless prank or a “no harm, no foul” circumstance. Everyone thinking her husband is cheating on her and yet she can’t leave him must have been deeply humiliating for her. His very public “affairs” were a way for him to publicly degrade her and metaphorically slap her in the face. Cold violence is still violence. It was harmful to her reputation and her mental health. I don’t think the effects on her should be so casually dismissed. For her, the pain was very real.

it doesn't matter. he was an a-hole and she shouldn't have taken him back. its not about the cheating. the mistreatment sometimes is worst regardless of misunderstandings. I would never take a man back who mistreated me like that. finding out the truth does not excuse his actions.

One of the funniest scenes is when they are talking after their divorce and she kept turning down the stocks he offered her. He was trying to act all magnanimous and she simply said something similar to “no thank you” and sent him spiraling. I LOVED how she was always able to disarm him with the simplest of statements!

I know he was wrong in the first 5 yrs of their marriage and she had to go through mental torture but this drama was good in a way that he strives till the very end expressing geniune regret. He did strive for forgiveness and earned it👏🏻
