Used all of these tools and each one of them is really great. Some tools mentioned here are free, but the rest of them would not be considered affordable for beginners. Numerous other SEO tools in the market provide similar information (and in some cases even better) at cheaper rates. Beginners can use those SEO tools as well.

Adam, thanks for the comment. But please keep in mind that this is one video of hundreds of videos. There are over two thousand articles on my blog. There are over a thousand podcast episodes. You will find many different pieces of content that will tell you how to utilize these tools to their fullest and drive results. Also keep in mind that many people out there are literally just starting out and need the most basic tips possible. Not everyone is tasting success like you but they want to be but don't know how yet. I am creating content for everyone, not just the advanced digital marketer.

Neil, we've been following all your videos for a few months now to get our SEO straightened out on the website. I have a question. When looking at the Yoast SEO Optimizer > Pages> All Pages there is a bar with 2 rows of colored dots for each page. (Green, Orange, Red bullets) Anyway, for some reason the colors are all mixed up even though I've gotten every single page to double green bullet status. What is the difference between SEMrush and Ahrefs? Backlinks analysis differ Ahrefs from SEMrush. right....what SEMrush differs from Aherfs...? Neil ???
there are a ton of differences, and to be clear I have always been an ahrefs person first, but lately I am starting to rely more on semrush. Each SEO tool has to offers something the other seo tool doesn't or it would all be a race to accuracy and price point. Right? Moz has a feature that I am extremely shocked Neil Patel never even brought up which is extremely beneficial and worth every penny of the $100 a month I dont currently spend, but should. To put it in simplistic terms. Semrush is more of a content calendar creation tool with a secondary focus on reports and ranking. WONDERFUL tool and features. where as Ahrefs is more data and reports feature. I believe AHREFS has more accurate keyword data, but in the end they are all getting their numbers from the same source right. SEMRUSH lately has become more user friendly, more customer focused and more feature rich than AHREFS, but because AHREFS has helped me so much in the passed its hard for me to jump ship. But SEMRUSH is making a very appealing campaign, plus they have an affiliate program where as Ahrefs has been talking about an affiliate program for years. Do a google search they start saying they would offer one way back in 2015.

Hello Neil.. For beginners these tools are costly. But yes Moz is good for knowing from where your competitor's are getting backlinks.

I would try giving it some, it should work itself out. If not, I believe you can open the pages and see why the dots are different colors
