A beautiful little clavichord, I would like to build one for myself... The only problem is that I can't play any instrument and I can't read music! 🎹🎼🎶🎵🙂
Il mio clavicordo e molto improvisando da construzione. When you build a clavicorde, you have to cut your plan to report it on the wood. So I did'nt made a copy of my original plan.
Hi. Please, can you tell me where I can learn about the making of a clavichord on the internet? Thanks and congratulations for your work. Regards from Argentina.
Do you feel the keys rubbing against each other as you play? They look like they are close enough together to chafe. Or are the pins for each key set so precisely?
They dampen the sound of the string after releasing a key, and also the sound of the part of the string to the left of the tangent when a key is pressed.
Hello, thank you for your interest. The fretting is irregular, based on personnal practice and observation of keyboard playing, to allow a maximum of usuals chords possibilities for playing Renaissance music on an extended medieval design. In the treble more possibilities of retards are allowed than in the second octave, because they were more usually needed. 1-6 : unfretted (to reduce the clavichord total size...) 7 c#/d 8 d#/ e/ f/ f# 9 g/ g#/ a 10 b/ h/ c/ c# 11 d/ d#/ e 12 f/ f#/ g 13 g#/ a/ b 14 h 15 c/ c#/ d 16 d#/ e/ f/ f# 17 g/ g#/ a
travel clavichord = travichord.
What an adorable little instrument! It would be the perfect tool to put on one's desk for a spot of late-night composing.
They used to do that
it’s got such a nice tone. beautifully crafted

Weil done 🌷🌷🌷 it is a beautifull little Instrument 💖 i like the sound. It ist amazing!!!!
May i ask you where i could order the plans from? ✨
What’s more difficult? Building the wood parts and keys to specific measurements? Or tuning the strings so they make the right sound?
You can get tuner apps now with historical keyboard tunings, so it’s super easy
is it possible to obtain the blueprints for this little gem? I would like to try to build it using a CNC machine!! Thanks! :)
😍👆😅
How cute
Nice! That seems like a good project for a beginner. Where can I get the plan?

Where did you purchase the hardware? The Tuning pegs, etc.
Is that your piano without electricity?
Quanto costa??
How much?
I bet it's EXTREMELY quiet...
You’d be surprised how quiet even a harpsichord is
@@SoggySandwich80 A historical harpsichord is pretty loud. Some , especially the revival harpsichord of the 20th century, can be quite though.
May I ask why are there strips of cloth threaded through the strings of the clavichord? Thanks.

What notes are fretted together?
I’m pretty sure it’s F F# & G

Basically it alows the use of more retards in the upper register for playing exotic or clever chord arrangements
Hope that helps lol
