I first heard this song back in 1984 on New York's U68 video music channel. It brings me the best memories of my life, those were the days when living in America were the best.Back then we were truly the United States, now i just don't know any more.
UB-40 formed 1978 in Birmingham. Their former members are: Ali Campbell Michael Virtue, but they also had a line-up of various members over the years w/in their group: James Brown, Maxi Priest, Duncan Campbell, Robin Campbell, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan' Tony Mullings, Brian Travers, Astro
For my Ben ... A love 💕 in the past that will never be forgotten, and this song brings to mind, all the beautiful emotions we once shared, and which will be with me, from then to eternity😘
The music is great. Even more significant that they were the first Western Band to perform in Russia when it was still the USSR 1986. Music can eliminate borders, unite the world, end wars.....
i have been a fan of UB40 since i was 15, mmmm a long time guys as i am now 43, this is my all time fav though. brill group with such a soulful sound. 10/10
I don't love them, but I've got alot of respect for them. They signed off the dole and went on to make music without actively seeking publicity or pusuing fame just for the sake of it.
Saw them live years ago, "AWESOME" Ran into them outside the venue after the concert and they invited my 10 year old son into the limo for a drink, lol. They gave him a soda...cool.
I actually like this, which surprises me since I just heard another of their songs which I hated (the elvis remix: can't help falling in love). The only weird thing about this song is that it almost sounds like he's threatening: "But if you make me mad, you'll wish that you did not." Wow, cool it! Don't hurt anybody now!
this one was in russia and the audiance were told not to stand up, the place was full of the police but ali got them all up in the end, but it was so quiet at the start of the concert it was weird atmosphere to say the least xxx
Kiria Marie comunist system was very creep. I am from Albania and my parents who lived in comunism told me so many stories like these, so I understand😟
It's a perfect song. I can listen to this a milion times...
