No. He’s been happily married to a woman he met acting when they were in their 20s. They are both intellectuals. He is respectful of priyanka but there is no way on earth he finds her attractive. he is trying to have an interesting conversation with depth and she is struggling to keep up.
@@Rubylove48 "No way on earth he finds her attractive" is a stretch. You can be committed to someone and still find someone else attractive, with no intention of being involved with them in any way. If you believe otherwise then you're either really young or too naive. And I didn't feel as if she was struggling to keep up. Both of them were on equal footing when it came to the conversation they were having.

I’m sure he was not ‘attracted to her’ on any level, she is not smart or deep enough for him even as a friend (yes I know him personally). It's not that Simon Baker is speechless with PC's conversation or her eloquent speaking. He's such a nice and great person and given opportunity to PC to speak rather than letting her down by dominating the show though he can. Better people understand this fact.

I definitely believe you. I have come across this video today and I felt thankful to the creators because I never knew about Australian cinema, or somehow not drawn to it. But listening to Simon made me feel connected. I'll start with some good Australian movies. 🥰
But he's not. He was looking at her in a normal way. He seemed really grounded and not overwhlemed by her beauty which is refreshing because thats all anyone talks about when it comes to her. He's a really down to earth guy and he has seen plenty beautiful women in his life, dont think priyanka can knock his socks away.

After watching few interviews of Simon, I realized he sets up the tone of the interview to make it more meaningful and not frivolous, not intentionally by power or such but simply by his intelligence, honesty and real deeper interest in the art.
One thing that Priyanka makes me feel everytime is PROUD PROUD PROUD 😍 she represents India in it’s true self. And what a beauty in that saree love u pc ❤️

I have no idea why people think Simon is smitten, etc. What did I miss? He comes across as polite and encouraging rather than excited himself. Yes, both are interacting, but there is no sense of personal involvement with the other or even knowing each other much. On Simon's end, it seems curiosity about her experience. Priyanka seems to be so overwhelmed by her own excitement, she has no bandwidth for much else.
It is interesting because of actors from such diverse situations interacting. Different gender, different country, different size of industries they belong to, different cultures, different familiarity with the current situation... even if both iconic and charismatic.
Indian uncles and aunties will see romance every time a man and woman talk. Simon is leaning back, barely says something before being interrupted, repeatedly. Priyanka is fidgeting with her clothes, constantly. Hardly screams trust or comfort. Let alone romance.

Any sensible person around the world with deeper knowledge of world cinema has his or her fair share of knowledge of Bangla movies.Akira Kurosowa, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn to name a few. They study Bengali films, filmmakers, actor, actresses, cinematography, editing etc. Meryl and Julia both are fan of Madhabi Mukherjee. Also, Baker frequently visits Kolkata, College Street, Coffee House, Nandan, Academy, etc. He was invited as a special guest to one of the Kolkata International Film Festival also, can't remember the year.
