Girl...I so feel the same. I'm not sure how old you are but I am a Korean/Asian who grew up in the 90's where anything asian was deemed NOT cool. So as a asian boy growing up in America and becoming a lover of music, I gravitated to hip hop and black singers and dancers. And in my 20's, performers like Usher were my favorite. And now...in 2023...a performer who looks like ME (ok...a younger version of me) is on screen singing and dancing with THAT performer whom I loved back in the day. It's a REALLY emotional thing to see.
