    🙏❤Wonderful, many thanks!
Wondering about the possibility of an interview with Zvi Ish-Shalom, and I'm thinking of his book "Sleep, Death, and Rebirth: Mystical Practices of Lurianic Kabbalah", described as a "brilliant comparison of Jewish mystical understandings with those of far eastern religions, noting parallels between Vajrayana teachings of Tibetan Buddhism tantric of the Bon School, Hindu Tantric tradition of Kashmiri Shaivism and Muktananda’s lineage of the Hindu tantra, and Lurianic Kabbalah in terms of the relationship between, sleeping, dreaming, and the journey beyond the waystation of 'death.' These similarities, while not coterminous, may point to common mystical insights that arose across cultures and wisdom streams. The text encourages one to consider the possibility that certain dimensions of human mystical experience share a common core archetype (Jung) across traditions, cultures, and religions." (David B. Levy)

One of the nāmas from the Lalitā Sahasranāma that’s been going around in my head a lot lately is : « campakāshoka punnāga saugandhika lasatkacā », which I take to mean that Devī gives everything its distinct fragrance. Beyond the apparent multiplicity of the manifest, the underlying reality is one. As you say, no object has inherent qualities. Samarasa.

In the spirit of part of the talk, wrote some rhymes: Abhinavagupta and Gotama
    Went for a walk
    Had a talk
    Came up with a book
and thats the one that i bought
'You wanna f the ineffable, find it in skylines & vegetables, pentrate both word & the pencil, all human electables'
Later Laughing at lunch with Longchenpa
When this girl walks up says 'who you are?'
We laughed some more, 'can you see far?'
Past the castles in the clouds & shooting stars?
...whats a wave? WATER, whats the rain? WATER, whats the ice? WATER
'& what water?' WATER (...) why i aughta,
if delusion flows like liquor your thirstin makes you sicker
While wealth, youth, & life slides away like oil slickers
If the true nemesis is attachment & blemishes one's quite the warrior facing evolutions animus
    So gotta laugh & stomp,
Timbos on the toes when i put the greens
Alan Hovhannes in one shimmers from my screen
Inner Alchemy honey pours from top to spleen
& turn the lamp around illuminate whats seen
Time to change lakes for oceans
Expand (and release) all narrow notions,
let go! to inherit the inherent glow
The inherent vice is this flesh soon cold as ice, soon sashimi sliced, soon grave at night, so just how soon till Drg Drsya Viveka flight! 😆😉

I wonder if Guru Rinpoche as a mahayanist knew Tantric techniques from hanging out with Shavists and integrating them into the Bön in Tibet resulting in Vajrayana?
