Regarding White and Freightliner, I worked for So Cal White trucks in Long Beach Ca 1976. Mostly Cabovers and trash trucks (6V53)
Then I was employee #3 as a Detroit Diesel master in 1979 at the new LA FREIGHTLINER in Whittier Ca. More conventionals, 400 Cummins, 8V92TA, 3406 mostly. A little history for ya. I love the Chanel.

on the white freightliner , consoladated freight ( sorry on spelling ) needed a truck for what it did , double trailers , and nobody had what they wanted so they designed what would work for them . they got white motor company to market it and sell it . later on freightliner branched out. not sure on years and everything i mentioned due to me hearing about this from my dad some 50 years ago as i grew up riding with him , sadly he was killed in a truck wreck in 1984 not to far from where y'all at , danbury nc close to stuart va. so forgive me if info is off a little , love the stuff y'all put out , keep doing youtube , don't have facet hing or insta thing . once again love watching y'all , i'm an old CAT mech from the late 80's up to 08's
That new kw half an half is the homer simpson designed truck . Like the trucks from the 70s an 80s the fords macks inters white kw an petes when they had the long hoods soon as they went airo they lost style an whether it was a l series ford or r model mack from the base truck to the big flash ltl an superliner those trucks are cool now
Great job showing the trucks. Mr.Bottomley put on a excellent show and my hat is off to everyone who donated to the hospital for children. Your heart is in the right place when you help the children. Or anyone who needs it
I like the W900 body style. And the W900 body lines looks better and it don't look like a box with a sleeper

I can’t believe I came across your channel one day randomly but I’m sure glad I did. I’m not a truck driver or even been around them but I appreciate everything they do for us, and I love seeing all these cool trucks. Keep it up guys I hope it brings in new people to this community.
They are some sweet sweet looking Riggs there and I love seeing the big trucks cause where my dad use to drive one and I loved going out on the road with him when I was 15 years old went out on the weekend and the summer with him and it was nice seeing different places some of them was beautiful places to see
Nice show ! BTW. Cab mounted exhaust is available from the factory on a 386. The flip out window is called a "wing window".
That red and white w900l with the custom hood. Mitchell farms. I live in the same town. They have alot of custom w9s and pete 379s. They haul chicken and turkey manure from farms to fields on walking floor trailers. I see that truck all the time

The first blue W-900 was my favorite. I'd like to see more of it. I had a brown Ford 9000 two story Falcon almost identical to the one you showed back in 1981

That black and white flame truck was a standup converted to the flattop that’s cool never actually seen that but maybe onetime before gives it a unique look for sure

We had only 1 or 2 Dodge Bighorns in Michigan. I got to see one all the time at the local grain elevator.. It disappeared one day. Turns out it burned down. Damn shame!!
Kenworth done fell and bumped their head with that W990, the W900 redefined the word sexy! Just like Peterbilt did by discontinuing the 379! I guess I'm just a W9, 379, 3408 and CAT3406 all models except the Acert holdout! The 359 is an American trucking icon, but they're not made for a 6'4" man! 379 with a 36" bunk, 300" wheel base, slammed to the ground, and a 359 Corvette dash kit, with all the good stuff!

According to the wiki. White marketed for Consolidated Freightways/Frieghtliner. White also bought AutoCar in the 50's, while also creating Western Star. In 1980 White filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Volvo acquired the US Assets and a couple companies in Canada acquired the Canadian Assets which got Western Star in it. Volvo purchasing the US assets lead to the Volvo/White trucks. Then Volvo merged with GM for their heavy truck divisions. Then you had White/GMC. Then late 90's early 2000's Volvo dropped the White name and sold AutoCar in 2000.

Freightshakers just don't make the shows. When I drove back in the '80s, I drove two different Freightliners. Always wanted to drive a Pete or KW but never got the chance.
The W990 is my choice if I was buying a new truck... If it had the largest cab available like 85 + inches it would be the all time best selling semi,,,. and if they would have added a small shower/toilet combo, they would have put Pete out of business... Kenworth must have retart management...

Okay you want to know you you got some stolen trucks on your yard and they have p b o o t h financing it's a bogus finance company the drivers and owners have been taking advantage of and Michigan State Police and the Monroe county Police and a friend of mine Sheldon Texas ranger they're all investigating it yeah so you need to check with them and let him know that whoever has b o o t h financing the trucks are stolen cuz they were they were taking out of Ypsilanti or Milan Michigan from my farm I'm a collector yeah they come from the ledford farm and Milan Michigan yeah I will find every truck I've said it in my mind I will find every truck that was taken from my farm I know there's a bunch of long Hood stretched out cuz everything I had was stretched I'm all about stretching a truck to 400 in so they're all long stretched out trucks yeah and I know you got some there cuz I've caught them at three or four other options and blue line had every truck they had there in Green Bay Wisconsin was stolen from my phone my farm yeah farm yeah Karen ledford is the one that's been selling stolen trucks my ex-wife yeah thank you
