Yes, she has a beautiful voice and it has only become stronger and better since they recorded this song.
The little fills that MISA throws in combined with that sliding riff that Kanami does in the 2nd half of the bridge is always amazing to listen to.
Saiki sings! I'm so glad Different didn't scare you away from them.. I think you should revisit it (on your own) to see how good it really is.
ok, so I have something to say about this. YOLO was released as a single it has two tracks on the 'B' side. They are , imo, two of the best Band Maid songs. One is Matchless Gum and the other Unfair Game. They have no official video, however, another reactor has reacted to Matchless Gum live. Old Mr B never talks over the song so you can watch his reaction and make your own if you wish. I highly suggest you do as matchless Gum is a hidden gem, his reaction is here th-cam.com/video/KiNHDojNtrg/w-d-xo.html Unfortunatley there are no decent videos of Unfair Game but you can always react to it on Spotify if you are ok with that. YOLO was a killer single for the title track and the others. What a great band Band Maid are we are lucky to have them ! Enjoy !!
I have to agree. Matchless GUM, and Puzzle used to be on TH-cam, but there was apparently a crack down, and the videos went away. I believe they are available on Band-Maid Prime, now.

There are amazing bass players out there, some in bands and some studio musicians. However I can’t remember a band that utilized such intricate bass work a lot as Band-Maid. One of the many things that make BM special.

Cry away. They often bring a tear to the eye. Saiki's vocals are so cinematic in this one.

Really a musical masterpiece from Band-Maid! Often overlooked, but so good! MISA and Akane are on fire and then add in the vocals and a killer Kanami solo, perfection!

This whole maxi single is amazing: YOLO, Unfair Game, Matchless GUM matched to perfection. If I had to choose one CD to take to a remote island, this is the one! Kanami is fantastic in this song! Every time I listen I hear something new she does. I suggest you listen on Unfair Game as next. You wont regret it!

These ladies obviously take the title of this song very seriously. They give their all on every song as if there was no tomorrow. :)
And to answer your question: Of course you can cry if you want to, but I don't think that's what these ladies are trying to accomplish. :) I firmly believe that they want to achieve exactly the opposite. I also just assume that the ladies from B-M and a lot of people here will agree with me that your smile is far sweeter... Although, thinking back to your video for 'Freedom' and your tears of joy... 🤔🤭

listen how each instrument (Yes, Saiki's voice is an instrument, too) is doing something different, but it all combines seamlessly.
Watching you have your world rocked is always a delight! If only everyone could feel and enjoy music as intensely... For so many people it's just mildly entertaining background noise. But I do worry for your health and sanity if you ever make it to a Band-Maid concert...

Fun fact: this song was written by Kanami prior to Band-Maid's formation, which she then re-arranged for Band-Maid. Thus, it's probably the earliest Kanami-writtten song Band-Maid has released. Yolo was released in 2016 as the A side in a single that marks the beginning of the band doing their own thing. I highly recommend the 2 B-sides to this single - Unfair Game and Matchless Gum - as I consider all three masterpieces. The B-side also included an instrumental version of Yolo which is wonderful.
This is one of the best songs in the world... you should also listen to the instrumental version of this one... it's awesome... it's a perfect song. Saiki voice in here is just phenomenal on top of a phenomenal piece of music. Perfect song out of a perfect album (2017's "Just Bring It")
The version on Band Maiko is good, too.

The strength of Band-Maid lies not only in their song composition, but with their individual execution and writing parts that create a unique and strong band synergy. After I hear a Band-Maid song, I feel I've been on a sonic journey. When the song's over, I feel I’ve experienced a shared, emotional experience with each of the members. I leave the song with an impression of substance leaving me uplifted and satisfied. I just don't get that with most groups. Thx, TiTD

When I saw your reaction for "different", I knew you as me, don't like their chaotic style. Well, it is not bad, but it does to a lesser degree highlight their musicianship. Technically great, but less soul? "YOLO" is one of my favourites because it got this hard-hitting groove, but with pop sensibility.
