Brez, if you have any kind of influence within SBBX i would kindly ask that you push them to return to recording amazing work done by loop station artists. In years past it was shown regularly and throughout performance and these last 2 gbbs they just sort of pan the camera that way for a second. What you guys do is worth seeing!!!!
This is probably going to be a couple of dumb beginner questions...but I've been getting into looping trying to learn some of these techniques and I've run into a couple of problems I don' t know how to fix: 1.) Off the rip, it looks like you did a single bass kick and it was automatically assigned to a four beat measure. Did you just do a single kick and the track isn't Free measure, but rather, a 4 beat measure setting? I have all of my tracks defaulted to 'Free' but it causes a lot of issues trying to record other percussive elements. 2.) With the panning delay bass, I've figured out how to do the bass, but when I'm finished recording the line, the panning delay bass is still playing on the machine when I turn the knob up. What's the fastest way to get the machine to stop playing the roll / panning delay / granular delay lines? Usually I end up panicking and the only way I can get the note to stop playing is switching that channel FX to something else lol. Cheers all!
1. The LED-indicators on his loopstation are set to STATUS (Sys: Indicator), which don't show the position in the beat, but rather just that the slot is taken by displaying the 4 measures. 2. You can turn the Input-FX knob all the way down and switch the effect to something else in the slot. These are definitely not dumb questions, and take more experience with the machine to intuitively understand.
Thanks for the response! I'll have play around with it a bit more. When I input a single kick loop like you did, my LED indicator light (the red light) goes left to right one time per kick (this causes input on other tracks to be very difficult, if not impossible, to enter on time), but looks like on yours (the red light), it goes left to right after four kicks. Probably something I have incorrectly set up in my track settings lol.
That's what my problem was. My indicator was set to Position + Status instead of just Status so it wasn't allowing me to properly record other tracks with proper timing. Thanks!
Found out about it, you need to make the panning delay track really loud ! Way more than what you would consider enough Also I don't know why, but the Reverb has been killing the volume of the Vocoder too... You might pick the Gain a lil bit up when you record the vocoder track to help
@@chrisxd6663 Don't worry ^^ Just did the track, and frankly the best way to go around it is to go frankly with the panning delay, then puffing the gain a good quarter up, then don't forget to put it back to where it was xD
