This is my video series about Start Learning Numbers. I hope that it will help everyone who wants to learn about the construction of numbers. This is something one needs as a good foundation for all advanced mathematics.

Wow, I just watched the whole series up to here. It’s so frustrating to have to wait to keep watching because I’m enjoying this so much! The simple pleasure from your delightful explanations is so motivating. I intend to learn more now!

Just love your content. It's so much better than going through pages of a huge book.

Where can I find a textbook on this stuff at a similar difficulty? I’ve followed the whole series so far but I need to review to keep up. Thanks!

That is a good question and I don't have a definitive answer there. I need to look into some books first to see which fits my explanations.

Any update on this topic? The videos make sense, but I would like to work some exercises as well

Try Elements of Set Theory by Herbert Enderton. He covers construction of the naturals, integers, and rationals in a manner very similar to the presentation given on this channel. However, he constructs the real numbers using Dedekind cuts instead of Cauchy sequences, as this channel does. This isn't a big problem, as the two construction methods are in fact equivalent (they imply the other). The Cauchy sequence construction of the reals is fairly common, so you should be able to easily find it on the web.

Maybe my quizzes already help. I don't use a particular book here.

Hi ! first of all thank you so much for the wonderful series. I wanted to ask :
    Q. what does these notations mean "Z\{0} " or "Q\{0}" ?

Thanks! You mean the set difference? I explained it in Start Learning Sets Part 3.
