Blue Meanie is probably the most famous one. When BM tells the story about sitting in first class, he was getting a ton of dirty looks. Then Mick Foley walks on and sees BM and goes “Meanie…oh no, Meanie…what have you done?” 😂 apparently that’s what made JBL have an issue with BM.

If I’m flying First Class it’s because I worked hard enough to make the money to buy a ticket for First Class.
Now if I decide to give up my seat to someone, it’s out of respect. It’s mine to give and I’d do so happily.

I remember being downgraded, not any class, but to a dining car because the train messed up and didn't have enough seats for the group. Pretty sure I've heard that in the Blue Meanie story, the office had booked the flight for him. In that case, where the company is paying for them (coach or 1st class alike) I would expect jobbers to cede the seats to big names. Heck, I wouldn't be shocked to find out that the company did that as a test/hazing ritual...

The seat incident has never been mentioned as the cause of Meanie getting jumped by JBL. If it was, then JBL was sitting on that for a long time. The seat incident happened when Meanie was first signed to WWE and it was only his first or second plane he took with WWE. JBL attacked Meanie after he was already let go by WWE and he was only brought back for One Night Stand where the attack took place. After the attack, Meanie was re-signed by WWE to avoid a lawsuit. In hindsight, Meanie shouldn't have re-signed and should've sued WWE and JBL for millions.
