- Born in Wells Somerset, Rich Payne developed his love & passion for mountain biking as a youngster in the local Mendip hills with the likes of Rachel, Gee and Dan Atherton! He began his career in the MTB industry with his dad, attending local races & events together where Rich would develop his talents, moving up the ranks and competing in DH and Four-Cross races, eventually racing around the globe in the EWS! Rich's passion for vlogging and videography led him to create the 'EWS or Bust' video series and the rest was history.
From humble beginnings digging jumps in the woods with the Atherton's to XC racing, Four-cross competitions, DH championships and EWS series, Rich truly is a man of two-wheel steeze, and what talent he has with that eh!

I'd like this comment twice if I could.
Holy shit it feels like couple of months that Rich joined GMBN and eventually went from a newbie to my favorite presenter.
We lived vicariously through Rich's mtb life journey in this video, all the dedication and sacrifices he (and loved ones) made, nothing but pure happiness for me because he deserves it being where he is at now. Braaap on, Ree-Chard!

Moght be the best “meet the presenter” video yet to be honest. Really enjoyed that.
You guys did make a very good choice employing rich. I couldn’t imagine gmbn without him but it does feel crazy that it was end of 2019 when he started. It feels a lot more recent than that for some reason. If id have been told to guess before the video id have said it was a year ago he started but that obviously just shows the past few years have gone by fast i suppose.
Well kids this is where hard work, dedication and just being an all round nice bloke will get you! Top man

Great show. So much repetitive stuff on TH-cam so refreshing take. Watching the Show is very much about the presenters, mtb life, epic rides and places to ride. Son and I rode Ard Rock last year and he had my hand me down 26” original Nukeproof mega and we had a great time. More to life than 175mm vs 165mm crank length and this nailed that. Maybe give the sequins a miss though.
