Changed my parking bulbs last week and they look stunning the LED and way brighter.
I recommend everyone to have them if they can afford them they will fall in love right away.

After seeing you vid on you upgrading the bulbs on a Volvo I put a set into my s204 2010 C Class with projector headlights.
I had no codes thrown up and they worked with no problems.
Until, they had been on for around 20 minutes and their intensity dropped like a hot rock to the point it becomes massively dangerous to drive.
Soon as they got hot their resistance in the control unit of the bulb went up which reduces the voltage to the chips, hence the dimming effect.
Thing I can't get my head round is this never seems to happen in all the TH-cam reviewers vids. They also never bring this issue of dimming up.
So, either there's something drastically at fault with my headlights or reviewers hide this fact.
I enjoy your vids gr8ly and not here to critisise just putting this problem out there just in case someone has a solution or has experienced the same problems.

Great vid & was thinking of doing the same on my caddy but didn't think it was a MoT fail, 👍 what about tyres if I got 2019 xl tyre's with a 7mm tread depth would these be to old 2 use on my van in Ire. What would you think 💬🤔

Fitted LEDs to my Pajero but it caused awful interference on the radio, put those carbon choke things on the wiring but couldn't change so I had to remove them .

Led headlight bulbs that throw the correct pattern and cutoff have finally been aprroved in Germany, and their TUV approval is far stricter than our MOT. Manufacturers like Phillips produce the correct beam pattern and some chinese brands are finally following suit. At the moment theyre officially a fail in a proper MOT but they do slip through. Ive been using Philips Ultinons for 2 years and while they are bright where they should be they're rubbish in dark nights with heavy rain. Ive read all LEDs are so far.

I normally like your videos, but sadly I do not like this one as fitting Led lamps in place of halogen on cars is wrong and I am fed up of being blinded by the idiots that do so😡 also the heat from the halogen bulb stops condesation in the head lights and last longer, the heat from the LEDs is not in the lamp but in the resistance to drop the voltage from 12-14 volts to 3 volts and those lamps have no cooling do it would be interesting to know how long they last

In all fairness most factory fit LEDs are blinding. Aslong as the beam pattern is correct really can't see the issue. When I've run hids in the past always adjusted them down a bit lower just to be ok safe side never had anyone flash me.

These don't blind any different to factory fitted LED lights

@@ORileysAutos Technically, LED upgrade bulbs are not road legal.legislation.gov.uk (section 4 & 5) states that dipped beam and main beam headlights are required to have an approval mark (usually E mark) or a British Standard mark. For nearly every other application on your vehicle, an approval mark is also required. and for MOTs Check HID and LED headlamps for mandatory levelling and cleaning devices” and the assessor needs to check the lighting for “Operation“, “Security” and “Condition” which essentially means that they need to make sure that they work and are fitted correctly. and your Freelander doesn't have the levelling

and an update just to be clear
Please note that since January 2021, the MOT Inspection manual has been updated to include LED bulbs.
Section 4.1.4 now states the following:
“Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp.”
This is a brand new update that seems to only focus on headlights.
There are no mentions to fail other LED bulbs such as brake lights, tail lights or reversing lights.

@@fredflintstone1 most mot tester will pass it if the beam pattern is fine. If the bulb is doing its job properly and it's not obvious an led than not really a problem. It's easier to just ban them than weed out the good and the bad shit ones will exsist but also good ones.
